Project Runway Season 4: Some Sweet Garments

proj-runway-1-2-08.jpg

ElisaThis week’s Project Runway had an enviable task to perform…enviable for all of us chocoholics in the world. Tim took them to the Times Square Hershey’s store and told them to take any items they wanted to use for materials in their garments. Hey, I’m not ashamed to say that I’d grab a bag of chocolate to keep me going during the challenge, along with my materials. They all seemed much more focused, I guess that’s why they got on the show. ;-)

Anyway, most of them grabbed wrapping papers, pillows and stuffed animals from which to construct their garments. Christian used the brown “cup” papers around Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and attached them to fabric. (They really did look good)

Jillian was the only designer to use edible materials, choosing to construct a garment using Twizzlers. I have to admit, it looked amazing.

Rami won the challenge by using wrapping papers and creating a wonderful, futuristic garment.

Elisa, who has really grown on me so far this season, made a dowdy brown dress with strange silver puffy sleeves and was eliminated. The show won’t be nearly as interesting without her, but it really was the suckiest dress of the episode.

What did you think of the designs created from the candy materials? Do you agree that Elisa needed to go home? Who is your favorite this season? Leave a comment to share your thoughts!
