Radio Disney launched an all new edition of its "N.B.T." (Next Big Thing), a daily multi-platform programming feature that puts the spotlight on five young unsigned recording artists and provides them with national broadcast and online exposure. St. Louis, Missouri native JOSH GOLDEN is the second artist to be featured in the 10-week showcase.
Starting this week, Josh, age 15, will have his single "Small Town, Big City" featured on the Radio Disney playlist for two weeks, and will join Radio Disney on-air personality Jake Whetter in the last hour of this weekend’s Top 30 Countdown. Additionally, there will be a profile segment of Josh on Disney Channel hosted by Tiffany Thornton ("Sonny With a Chance"), and two full songs ("Small Town, Big City" and "I Fall Down"), exclusive videos and photos will be available on RadioDisney.com. Videos will also be featured on Disney.com, the “N.B.T” mobile website and Radio Disney’s YouTube Channel (www.youtube.com/radiodisney).
In addition to writing all his own music, Josh has played the guitar since he was ten and is also learning to play the drums. He got his music career started online last year and has since released a self-titled album and a music video for "I Fall Down."
Listeners are invited to look, listen and vote for Josh during his two-week showcase ending Tuesday, October 20 or to cast last minute votes during a week of open voting starting Wednesday, December 2 at RadioDisney.com or by texting* "NBT" to DISNEY (347639). The highest ranked “N.B.T.” artist will be announced Friday, December 11 and will have the opportunity to have their single featured on the upcoming Walt Disney Records’ Radio Disney Jams 12 CD.
