Did you guys happen to catch Pete Wentz’s FN MTV show Friday night? What did you think?
Personally, I love the idea of Pete helping MTV bring music videos back to the channel. I think videos add a special element when it comes to music. We are a visual society, so seeing the concepts behind songs or viewing our favorite artists act out a scene really helps sell the song.
I also liked some of the promos MTV ran for the show. They blend really well with Pete’s kooky sense of humor.

My favorite promo, tho, is with Heidi Montag and Pete Wentz, where Heidi ends up hitting her head and passes out. She awakens to realize she is in the middle of MTV, and sees artists from years passed along with their videos. When she awakes, Pete makes fun of himself:

I only caught a little tiny bit of it, but I wasn’t too impressed. I was more focused on seeing Pete instead of what the whole show was about. But after waiting for a while, I gave up because it didn’t seem interesting to me.
