Real Housewives of Orange County & Top Chef Are Coming Back To Bravo

Rejoice, you guys: the 5th season of Real Housewives of Orange County has been picked up and announced at the Bravo “upfronts” (where the network talks up its new schedule to advertisers to get some money)! The sixth season of Top Chef has also been confirmed. Other shows confirmed to be returning are: Shear Genius, Flipping Out, Million Dollar Listing, Rachel Zoe Project, Real Housewives of Atlanta, Tabatha’s Salon Takeover, and perhaps the most sweet renewal, the 15th season of Inside The Actor’s Studio.

In addition the new shows I just posted about, the wonderful Choire Sicha also reported on several of the new Bravo additions and wrote about it for the LA Times. Here are some more new shows slated to be on the schedule, some are ones I’ve discussed previously:

  • Launch My Line” (another design show)
  • Miami Social” : Choire describes it as the most “vapid, foul, awful, self-satisfied group of people ever assembled in the entire world.” In other words: it will be the best thing that’s ever happened to us.
  • Chef Academy“: A cooking show. Not sure why — Bravo viewers don’t cook, we only eat at 5 star restaurants when invited to them by wealthy men, as per Patti Stanger.
  • Design Sixx“: about a husband and wife renovating and designing team who have a whole bunch of kids. Another strange addition. This is Bravo, not TLC. We don’t need “Jon and Kate Plus 8.”
  • Double Exposure“: This one has been announced a few times already. It’s about two photographers who used to date and now work together. Lots of drama.

There’s also reports that my favorite lesbian ever, Jackie Warner is getting a new version of “Workout” called “Jackie’s Gym Takeover“and my absolute worst nightmare, another show about models called “The Secret Life of Supermodels.” With all the anguish we must go through with the godawful Make Me A Supermodel, I can’t believe they are shoving more modeling down our throats.

All in all, it looks like I have a very busy summer ahead of me with all these new and returning shows. Which ones are you most excited about?

All of them sound exciting! As a Housewife and Mom of 3 little ones I love watching Bravo and living vicariously through all of their lives. But it’s also so nice to shut off the TV and not have the drama that comes with their lives.
