This break-up makes me a little sad! Reese Witherspoon has apparently confirmed that she and longtime boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal have broken up.
The two have been dating since starring together in 2007’s Rendition, and though they didn’t actually spend any screen time together they hit it off onset and soon became a couple.
They “took a break” late last month and got back together, but a source who claims to be close to the couple has said that they’ve officially broken it off this time, though the split is “amicable and mutual.”
Reese was formerly married to actor Ryan Phillipe, with whom she has two children.
