Rihanna’s Father Says He Wants to Be Reunited With Her

In an interview with Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, the man revealed that despite what Ri-Ri might, say he does actually want to be in contact with his daughter. Rihanna has said that she hasn’t been in touch with her dad for a year and a half supposedly “by his choice.”80907a1-rihanna-bgr-01

According to reports, Ronald told the Sunday Mirror, “I leave messages for her but I never hear back. I want nothing more in this world than to see my daughter again and to be part of her life. I speak to my children every day and to have gone so long without speaking to Robyn is heartbreaking. I am very distressed about it.

“What makes it all the more sad is our argument was over nothing. I had been on her tour for four weeks and things were fantastic. But in Chicago I got drunk before a gig — I acted like a jerk. I remember Robyn being really upset and saying‚ ‘Dad, you are going home’. One of her assistants put me on a plane back to Barbados. I have not seen or heard from Robyn since.”

He also says that he wants a chance to say that he’s sorry for what may have happened and knows that he lost her trust.  Ronald also said that it’s hard when the closest he gets to her is watching her perform on television shows.

He adds, “I watch her and what she is doing and am so proud. But whatever people may think I am not interested in Robyn’s money or fame. I just want to be a dad and a friend to her.”

Ronald hopes to see her when she travels to her home country of Barbados over the Christmas holidays. Well, I’m sure right now, Rihanna is doing what’s best for her. If this is true, it’s pretty irresponsible of him to be getting drunk and acting stupid. So…whatever.
