Riki Lindhome (Juliet from the Life & Death Brigade on Gilmore Girls) will star in the upcoming suspense thriller The Last House on the Left, a remake of the 1972 classic horror film written and directed by Wes Craven and Sean Cunningham. Riki plays one of the “bad guys” in the film, a sidekick (of sorts) to a prison escapee.
For the remake, based on the film by Wes Craven, the screenplay was written by Carl Ellsworth with Dennis Illiadis directing. Masters of horror Wes Craven and Sean Cunningham revisit their landmark film as producers in the remake.
The remake of The Last House on the Left follows the original storyline that explores how far two ordinary people will go to exact revenge on the sociopaths who harmed their child.
In the movie, Mari (Sara Paxton) and her friend (Martha MacIssac) are kidnapped from a remote lakehouse by a prison escapee (Garret Dillahunt) and his crew (Riki Lindhome, Aaron Paul). Terrified and left for dead, Mari’s only hope is to make it back to parents John and Emma (Tony Goldwyn and Monica Potter). Unfortunately, her attackers unknowingly seek shelter at the one place she could be safe. And when her family learns the horrifying story, they will make three strangers curse the day they came to The Last House on the Left.
