Harry Potter alum Robert Pattinson has put it out there that he would definitely be interested in the role of Doctor Who, currently filled by by another Harry Potter alum David Tennant (aka Barty Crouch). Here’s what he had to say:
“The Doctor is great,” he said. Asked if he’d pick up the mantle, he replied, “Yeah, maybe.”

What do you think – would Robert be a good pick for this role?
Too young. I know the Doctor’s age is a fleeting thing since he “regenerates,” but Pattinson doesn’t look old enough to have a license to drive the Tardis.
who says you need a licence to drive a tardis. lol.
i wouldnt mind being in the tardis with Robert Patterson though… although David Tennant is a bit fit really.

I am not sure how good Rob will be as the doctor, however it would be great for advertising. More people would watch doctor who with him acting as the doctor although I don’t think they’d be watching doctor who for the story but more because of the actors.
