I debated about whether or not to even bother writing about this because, on the one hand, who cares? However, on the other hand, several readers have emailed me to ask me to post about it so we can talk about it. So here you go.
Roseanne Barr posted a blog entry of her own, where she ripped apart Jon Voight, then went on to tear down Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. One classy gem is this:
your evil spawn Angelina Jolie and her vacuous hubby Brad Pitt make about forty million dollars a year in violent psychopathic movies and give away three of it to starving children trying to look as if they give a crap about humanity as they spit out more dunces that will consume more than their fair share and wreck the earth even more. (Just sayin’).
I don’t even really know what to say. I know that not everyone is going to love Brad and Angelina, and honestly, I really don’t expect everyone to do so. Everyone’s entitled to an opinion, but what purpose is served by spewing such incredible vitriol as that? There are several celebrities that I personally can’t stand, but I can’t be bothered to go out of my way to blast each one of them – nor do I go to fan websites and snark over there. I just leave it at “I really don’t like XYZ” and there’s no need for more.
I can only wonder if Roseanne has some new project coming up and needs to direct some free publicity her way. Slamming two major stars who are of interest to a great deal of people? That is a surefire way to get attention.
Never mind that she’s not even right. Brad and Angelina donate a great deal more money than just $3 million. I’d love Roseanne to let us know how much SHE gives to those in need on a regular basis.
I won’t even get into the snarky tone she uses when discussing the Jolie-Pitt children.
It’s a shame and it saddens me because I was always a huge fan of Roseanne – in fact I still love to watch the show Roseanne in re-runs in the evenings. She never failed to make me laugh (especially now that I’m a mother myself and can relate even more), but now she’s just making me sigh.
Ugh. In light of this, let’s all watch the wonderful video that reader Lara linked to in the comments a few entries back, a video showing some of the great work Angelina Jolie has done with the UNHCR – some of the footage includes things Brad Pitt has done too.

I managed to catch the new trailer Sunday, NBC really dragged it out but finally showed it at around 11pm. Definitely worth the wait though.
That obnoxious clown wants some attention and now her website got lots of clicks. so pathetic.

as an Indonesian, I often heard that U.S. is a free country. but what is happening with this Rosanne thing is the other way around. Too much freedom, perhaps?
Who cares about Rosanne-she is washed up and looking for attention….the residuals don’t pay like they use to.
I thought the You Tube tribute was great except for Michael Jackson!!! Could you see Brad and Angelina hanging w/him?? He has some issues when it comes to children……..hello!
Absolutely wonderful video! Thanks Lara and Sherry. Perfect video to counter Roseanne’s outrageous blog. That video really put a genuine smile on my face. Shows people that Angelina and Brad aren’t just talk. They follow through. It makes you sit and wonder damn I haven’t done anything near this caliber of good. I wish Brad, Angelina, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, & Vivienne eternal happiness. Thanks again Lara.

I’m not posting on Roseanne’s blog about what I think of her latest outburst – Don’t Want to Give Her Website any clicks. I’ll post on another blog.
First thing I thought about was if she had a new book, cd, dvd, movie or comedy tour to publicize.
Roseanne is giving more ammunition to those people who think entertainers should just shut up and sit down.
Rosanne Barr is a has-been. I’m still embarrassed for her when she divorced her 1st husband to marry Tom Arnold, then when he left her dumb arse, she goes and marries her bodyguard, had a child and then he dumps her arse too… So she needs to shut the beeeeep up!!
She just want people to visit her website so she can be known again. Such a jealousy freak. And I know Brad and Angelina will not be saying anything about her stupid remark because they have a life to live unlike her….

She wants Angie to endorse Obama because Angie adopted a black child from Africa. That seems a little racist to me.

Not all blacks nor those who adopt black children have to vote for a person because he is black. Rosanne seems a little racist to me. And she definitely wants what Angie has. Everybody can express their opinion – so my opinion is I have no respect for Rosanne. She owes Angie and Brad a huge apology.

i honestly don’t know who she is, but basing on what she wrote, i could say that she’s one mean person. it seems that she’s jealous or something. she obviously has an u.g.l.y heart.

SHERRY ,WHEN SOME SO CALLED STARS CARRIER GO DOWN HELL, THEY ARE USING ANGIE AND BRAD TO GET BACK TO THE TOP, IT IS UP TO THE FANS TO RESPONSE TO THEIR STUPIDITY, SO IGNORE THIS ONE. Personally, I thought it was hysterical. My husband and I cracked up when we read what Roseanne said. My read on this is that Roseanne is just trying to be funny, and as normal, is misunderstood because her delivery is more offensive than I think she really intends. I actually think she has bipolar and just needs stronger medicine so she can read and re-read her comments before posting them. I adore Brangelina but this still gave me a good laugh.
