I have chiari 1 malformation along with cranial settling, and EDS. In May of 07 I underwent cranial decompression and cervical fusion surgery the same day.
I just found this posting and was shocked to find out that you have Chiari.
As a result of my journey, I have started a campaighn in my NJ area to raise awareness. People like us who have Chiari need a spokesperson for the disease. Governor Corzine has informed me that July 17. starting in 09, will be Chiari Awareness day in NJ-as a result of my request. I would be honhored if you could represent this cause

This surgery is not a Cure All but for me I felt that it was Definately a success.I had my surgery in 1974 at age 17.
It did take a few months for me to see that things were getting better.

Coincidently my 12 year old neice had the same procedure on the same day hopeing to rid her of her severe headaches. Unfortunately, she is still having headaches. We were wondering if the procedure has stopped Roseanne’s headaches???

I hope all is well and you are recovering quite nicely. We just found out a week before yourannouncement to cancel your tour my duaghter has the exact same thing and will undergo surgery in February. We are very concerned and nervous. We live in Ct. and she is having surgery at Yale New Haven. I hope all goes as well as yours and would love to hear your story.
