Former daytime talk show host, Rosie O’Donnell, is obviously so enamored with American Idol cast off, Danny Noriega, that she has offered him a spot on her upcoming gay family cruise. I wonder if he’ll take it!

I think he will do it. And I agree that he should get a role in a sitcome, he is funny enough. All in all I wish him the best.
Danny’s great – as the first openly gay guy from the start, he deserves the world. He brought so much entertainment to AI. Rosie recognized that, that’s why she invited him on her Family Cruise.
There have been other Gay Idol contestants in the past, but all of them have come out of the closet after the show. Well, this time we do have David Hernandez who was forced out of the closet by his old boss at Dick’s Bar in Arizona.
But how long do you think David will last on the show? I bet he’ll be the next one knocked off. AI has been homophobic from the start. David would have been kicked off last week for his stripper bit, but they – the producers of AI had already planned on kicking Danny off. So they couldn’t kick David off – because if they had kicked two Gay guys off at the same time – well, we, the Gay community would have yelled Discrimination!!!
Even so, I still think it was discrimination. Either by middle america who cannot accept diversity on AI – or the producers who did not want to lose that demographic because they had a flamboyant gay guy on the show.

I’m just glad Rosie extended this invite to Danny. I know I hope to go on one of her “Family Cruises” sometime.

and i don’t believe danny will go on this cruise..though he seemed very polite, grateful, and honored by rosie’s offer, it seemed like to me he didn’t really want to go (and he’s not allowed to anyway cuz of the AI contract perhaps?) but was very respectful towards rosie for inviting him. =)

When I watched the show Tuesday night and saw how awful Kristy did Hard Day’s Night, I had to think twice about my prediction; how could they knock off David when this silly bi*ch butchered that Beatle’s song?
Face it, our David’s I saw here Standing there was a bit over the top, but compared to Kristy’s butchering, or David Archie’s forgetting the lyrics (something all three judges said someone in the top twelve should NEVER do), I did think twice.
But Wednesday night seeing David called down with Seyesha and Kristy, then Seyesha being called Safe – I knew in my Gay heart that David was getting the boot. Not for it being a Singing Competition, but because of Discrimination – from either the producers or middle america.
Now after the boot was given, the camera pans over to the other eleven contestants – if you have it recorded, take a look at which ones are clapping, which ones are not and which ones are standing and clapping. All three are evident in the ranks sad to say.
And then the camera pans to the three judges – their atitudes let you know how they really feel about David’s getting kicked off. Randy is clapping, but there’s a look of pity and disgust on his face that David was kicked off instead of Kristy. Paula, well she’s standing up smiling and truly giving him a standing ovation from her heart for his work on AI. Then there’s Simon – he’s doesn’t hide anything – he’s shaking his head – obviously pissed off that David, instead of Kristy was kicked off – Simon shows his anger, his disgust, like many of us, that David was kicked off instead of horrible Kristy.
But now that AI had all the “out of the closet” Gay Guys off the show, maybe the show can turn itself back into a Singing Competition instead of a Popularity Contest. Perhaps….
So, who’s left that can still be in the closet?

I, too, believed that David H was victim to TPTB on AI and American homophobia discrimination similar to what Danny fell victim to, but it may also be because of his lack of a substantial fan base…though i still cannot fathom how Kristy survives another week (who the hell is voting for her besides those ill-boding rednecks??) after performing barely sub-par compared to the rest of the remaining bland contestants (poor Amanda, though she seemed happy to go). and she’s recently engaged btw, so i don’t think she’s closeted…>>”
but back on topic…I hope Danny going on this cruise will open up a lot of connections and opportunities for him that will lead him towards greater success and stardom~
