Ruben Studdard and Kool & The Gang – Yes!

Oh how I wish I lived near this show so that I could hear it!!! American Idol winner, Ruben Studdard, will be performing with Kool and the Gang on the Miller Lite Main Stage at the Wisconsin State Fair. One of my girlfriends lives near there so hopefully she can go and take some pics. Here are the details (wow, I cannot believe promoters wrote that about Ruben!!!!):

8 p.m. Aug. 9: Kool & the Gang and Ruben Studdard.

This is kind of an odd-couple pairing. Kool & the Gang, of course, was a staple of funky dance music in the ’70s and ’80s with such monster hits as “Celebration,” “Jungle Boogie” and “Cherish.” Studdard is one of those “American Idol” winners who hasn’t quite matched the expectations. VIP tickets are $30, reserved track seats are $20, and reserved grandstand seats are $10.

Well, let’s try to ignore what this moronic thing says. Is anyone going?
