So the following piece of news may or may not have anything at all to do with Grey’s Anatomy. But since it could have something to do with it, let’s take a look, shall we?

Reports from the Spoiler House of Ausiello state that Dominic Monaghan has managed to escape the island in Lost and jump on over to a different ABC show. Now it’s all very hush-hush. So hush-hush in fact that the show’s powers that be don’t want anyone to know about it. Know of any shows on ABC with secretive creators that hate spoiler leaks? Well, all of them, maybe.
Now the question remains: If it is actually Grey’s Anatomy that Mr. Monaghan will be joining, why all the secrecy? Does it have something to do with George? Or Izzie? Or something else Shonda Rhimes wishes to keep entirely secret?
Some suggest the reason for the privacy might have to do with Monaghan taking over for T.R. Knight as George O’Malley. Despite the fact that Shonda Rhimes has debunked this rumor, many still think it will happen anyway. After all, Shonda & Co. do love their twists. But I’m still of the camp that believes that this would a) piss off a lot of people and b) be a terribly lame idea. George without T.R. is not George and I’d be hardpressed to believe that the show would go in that direction.
Perhaps it’s not Grey’s at all that he’ll be joining. But if he were to join Grey’s what do you think his role would be?

I live this actor but I will be very unhappy if they replace George. That would be hard for me to accept and I have always enjoyed this show, regardless of their crazy plots at time. But this would disappoint me very much.
he replacing george makes just no scence, He isn’t george and Can’t repleace him!!! no one is like geoorge!

E I loveee this actor! But i think he can come back to Lost and not to Grey’s. E for the record, que he is greater than TR.
If they replace George with another actor… it will become the end of Grey’s Anatomy! That idea sucks coz I love the show from the very bottom of my heart!
Nobody can replace somebody else. Even after terrible accident like George´s. I´d rather seem him dead despite this crazy change. There is only one guy to be George O´Malley: T.R. Knight.
As much as I love Dominic Monaghan, him replacing T.R Knight as George O’Malley is a terrible idea! There’s only one George in my books, and that’s T.R Knight.
TR is right for George.
Monaghan is right for Charlie.
Both of them are my favorite characters in their respective shows.
my opinion is that this new cast can be a new intern…. and that he would do what george does he was alive(at the show of course) like it was a repeated thing that led george to be a resident….
or just make him the cousin of george O. i think that’s a better idea… that he was there to regain the respect of the late george o.

I agree, T.R. is the only actor for George, but has anyone thought that George might have a cousin who coincidentally have the same name? Dominic happens to be Irish and it was established that George’s family is Irish-American…
