According to NY Post’s Page Six, Nicole Richie is doing her best to be a friend to Paris Hilton and trying her best to prevent Benji Madden from moving on so quickly.
At Good Charlotte’s latest release party, Nicole shooed girl after girl away from Benji. She’s trying her best to stay neutral in this post-breakup situation, but thinks it’s mean and disrespectful of Paris’s feelings to blatantly flirt with other girls so soon.
“Benji was approached by dozens of ladies. Girls were trying to flirt with him . . . but Nicole kept getting in the way,” a source at the party told a magazine.
I think this is sweet of Nicole, however, I hope she doesn’t do this forever. As for Benji, I hope he’s been respectful about Paris’s feelings and not actively seeking out these girls’ attention.
Actually, I don’t think it’s sweet at all. I mean, I don’t know who broke up with who or whatever, because I haven’t been online in a while or read the magazines, but, even if it is disrespectful to Paris, he can do what he wants, even if it does make him look like an ass. He’s a big boy, and I don’t think it’s any of Nicole’s business what he does now that him and Paris are no longer together.
On another note I think Nicole looks beautiful in that dress.
Well… no one ever said he was okay with it, so idk what to think. It’s sweet that she’s looking out for him, but I’d personally be annoyed lol.
if i was benji, id be annoyed too. I only meant sweet from the perspective that she’s looking out for paris. there were rumors right after the break-up that the split meant the end of nicole and paris, but i think this rumor shows that that’s not the case!

i’d be surprised if it were true, but like most good rumours, they have to mix in a few nuggets of truth just to give the rumour legs in the media.
ie, benji has a history of bouncing in and out of relationships pretty quickly. after all, he started pursuing paris as more than a friend within days of breaking off his engagement with sophie monk.
but who cares if he’s already looking, it’s his business.
and i doubt that if nicole is really doing this, it’s out of any concern for paris. more like looking out for herself since she’s still with joel and she would be interested in who benji would potentially bring around her, joel and harlow.

Did benji respect sophies feelings when he flirted with paris while engaged…or give shit how sophie woulda felt when barely a week after there break up he was with parisite NO, I adore nicole and joel & harlow but I lost respect 4 benji when he hooked up with a disease like parisite…ugh.
Here’s hopin he actually finds a decent chick…after he’s gotten a full medical!
