Aw, so romantic! When Samantha Ronson joined Jalopy and Pete Holland at Genghis Cohen last week (see photos), she got back behind the microphone to sing & play guitar. Most of you just know Samantha Ronson from her DJ work, but Sam released 4 songs in 2004 and plans to get back into creating music. Anyway, during the gig at Genghis Cohen, Samantha Ronson sang a song to Lindsay! Starting off with “This is for Lindsay,” Sam sang a song called ‘In and Out of Love’.
Aw, how sweet to be serenaded! Granted, the song was a little bit of a downer, with lyrics about falling in and out of love and things like:
“Trying to remember who you were when we first met
I can’t see you in your eyes
Try not to remember who you were when we first met
Coz there’s no truth left in your eyes”
Weird, hey?

In the end you can see Linds running up to the stage at the end, smiling. So, good point, Anon. It’s sweet to see how far they have really come. I also saw pics from the same night with Linds taking pics from the front row while Sam sang, I’m not sure if the video shows it, but it was cute.

what a lot of people fail to realise is obviously samantha wrote this a long time ago.. so she may well be commenting on lindsay’s state way back then -how their relationship was very on/off because of it and how it broke her heart to see her like that. the fact they can laugh about it now shows how far they’ve come. But its so interesting (and cute) to see Samantha bare her soul just a little bit.

I’d be upset, too if my girlfriend was singing a song to me w/ lyrics like “i’ll follow you out of control” and “i’m falling in and out of love.” !!!!
