Cycle 4 of Germany’s Next Topmodel ended a few weeks ago. It was a whirlwind season, with the contestants visiting Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Honolulu, New York and Singapore and meeting Good Charlotte, Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Bar Refaeli and Karolina Kurkova. In the end, Sara Nuru, a nineteen year-old 5”9″ gorgeous girl was crowned the winner.
Sara, who is of Ethopian descent, was surprised and amazed by her win. She beat out 11,000 contestants to take home the top prize.
“I can’t believe it – so often during the show I thought I would not make it,” Sara said of her win.
“We saw a special sparkle in Sara’s eye. She has a super body, a great character and presence – and is also nice!” host Heidi Klum said of the winner.
Sara will now appear on the cover of German Cosmopolitan, receive a new car and was awarded contracts with C&A and Maybelline Jade as part of her prize.

This girl is amazingly beautiful. To be honest, I watched couple of the episodes from GNTM and all the girls were great. I would like to say that I like the concept of GNTM better than ANTM, cause girls have oportunity to go on more castings and book jobs in every episode.
I think Tyra should learn something from Heidi. I mean Sara was the only black girl in GNTM but she is gorgeous, and there were many black girls in ANTM but they are not as good as Sara. I bet that Sara will book far more jobs than Teyona.
This show is not about choosing black or white girl, it’s about choosing a beautiful girl and a good model. And it seems like Tyra doesn’t think like that. That’s why all the other NTM winners have better modeling careers than ANTM ones.

Don’t you guys in America like “personality” over anything else? For me, the only ANTM winner that at least looks the part is McKey. The rest could just make it as “models”, but not Top Model status.

Mia I completely agree with u, GNTM has really the best concept of all the shows and in the end they really choose the girl who can work internationally,the girl that is really like a model, not just someone, who is good in acting… I can say from all the NTM shows I like the best GNTM. They have a lot more practing in runway, castings.. not like in ANTM- one runway and one go-sees..and that’s it ??
and for all u- one you tube, there is a girl who is translating the last season of GNTM, so everybody who can’t understand german language, can watch it.. it’s really nice from her, and I really enjoy wathing it…
and her name is egiboko!!

The girls in ANTM are as good as GNTM. The difference is the arrogance is not there in German version. If Character was a measure none of the ANTM contestants will make it. Those US girls all make me sick actually, there is so much arrogance. It may be cultural but hard for me to swallow.

I really like the picture of sara though i did not know anything about her while she was in the capital city of ethiopia. to say the truth , i cant believe that she is from ethiopia and win the prise among all the beutiful ladies which are engaged in the compitition and it was amaizing.
one think that i have to say is that , sara Nuru is not a black girl rather she is habesha girl where there is much kind of peoples gathered and live together peacly means its a place where peoples from the different contents in the world live together.
so , at last she deserve the prize even the greater. i would like to say…congratulation and happy new year.

Hi there,
I’m a French guy living in Germany, I watched GNTM nd believe me SARA is even more beautiful than on those 2 or 3 pictures here posted! Ihave never watched ANTM I cannot compare but the concept of GNTM is really good. They have a lot of opportunity to learn how to run teh catwalk, to pose, etc…and are sentto a lot of real-jobs during teh show and start make money and building experience in the fashion world! Heidi is really good at hosting the show and put all her connection the fashion world so the girls can profite and work with the best right away! Back to SARA, further more to her beauty, it aws also her being always nice, absolutely not arrogant, very feet-on-the ground, with a big heart for her competitors, that brought her an amazing support from the public, sthg never seen before! It was like the World cup in football, unbelievable. Even people not usual attracted to coloured-skin girls were for her, and peole not into such shows started watching it for her!
Almost all the professionnals, photographers included, just loved her, she was bringng sthg fresh, new, not stereotypical along each time with her!
When she was crowded, I jumped like 10 feet high and I guess all the building heard me shouting out of loud of JOY!!! She truly deserves it and has already started working international faster and better than all the 3 last GNTM winners! And I ‘m sure, the best is to come…! Go girl!
