Saying Goodbye to Idol Stalker

Hello Idol Stalker readers! I have a bit of announcement to make. After almost three years, I will be leaving this blog. It was the first writing job I ever had and it meant (and continues to mean) so much to me. I’ve gotten to interview great people and travel to events over the years and it’s been incredibly enriching.

Most importantly, I’ve enjoyed interacting with my fellow fans during the American Idol (and Canadian Idol and Australian Idol) seasons. I can remember feverishly live blogging crucial episodes over the years and it was really so much fun.

I will be returning to the mental health field in my community and, although I initially hoped to be able to do both jobs, I’m finding it impossible to write quality posts, start a new career and take care of my family.

I’ll still be checking in from time to time and I’ll definitely be commenting when the new season of American Idol begins. I can’t wait to see how Ellen Degeneres turns out as the new judge!
