Contrary to reports that indicated that a TV spin-off was in the works a la the book series, Producer Josh Schwartz says that no such thing is in the works.
Schwartz told E!, “Not sure how this got out there, but no plans for spinoff at this moment. The books do have a spinoff, but we have nothing in the works right now other than making sure season two gets off to a great start.”
Hmm. Maybe it’s the lawyer in me – but am I the only one who thinks “at this moment” was carefully placed?
