Sean Gunn will star soon as a recurring star on October Road, which has just returned for a new season. Here’s some new dish about Sean’s character on the show, from Entertainment Weekly‘s interview with the show’s creators.
And, all of you Kirk fans out there will be glad to know that he was hired to bring wit to the series!
QUOTE: The producers… hired him to bring some much-needed wit to Sully’s bar, where his character Rooster (he’s sportin’ a modified mohawk) works alongside Janet as of this season’s second episode. ”Even though he’s a part of our town, he’s a little bit like an outsider and he’s able to comment on everybody and kind of take the piss out of our world a little bit, out of our soap opera. He’s just got that great delivery,” Appelbaum says. ”Rooster is gonna play real heavily into the Eddie-Janet storyline in that sort of Duckie-in-Pretty in Pink way. He kinda pines after Janet, and down the road, he will be both a friendly ear to her as she’s navigating the emotional waters of dating Eddie Latekka, and carrying a torch for her. At some point later in the season, all that will explode in a big way… Some fans are gonna be cheering for what goes down, and some fans are gonna be throwing something at their TV.”
The first episode of the season premiere on Thursday and it will move to Monday’s at 10pm starting tomorrow.
Sean Gunn will make his first appearance on the show on tomorrow (Monday, November 26th), so tune in!

barbara, I saw the same Conan that you did. IMO, Lauren wasn’t trying to dis Gg when she said she couldn’t remember anything from it. She literally did so many episodes of Gg it’s not that she doesn’t remember, it’s that she it all blurs together (as if she doesn’t remember any of it). 7 years, a gazillion pages of dialogue, often of Amy’s insane Lorelai monologues.
IMO it was so soon after the cancellation of the show that she *really* didn’t want to talk about it (which was pretty much true of everybody on the show at that point due to the way the negotiations imploded at the last minute when someone “less amenable” welched on the 13-episode deal). And thus, saying “I don’t remember any of it” was 9 parts evasion of the subject of the show’s indefinite hiatus (as I put it. IMO, the show’s not done yet) and 1 part brain freeze.
“Oooo, so many choices . . . head . . . exploding. Can’t . . . dis . . A B
you´re soo right pamela! i mean melissa´s on samantha who, scott´s on aliens in america, milo´s on heroes, lauren and alexis are shooting movies, edward hermann was on grey´s…god! then some people (not us!!) will start to forget these actors as the ones on Gilmore Girls. it´s great they have big careers and are moving on, but what about us? we need them not to forget about our fave show! remember when lauren went on conan o´brien and said she couldn´t remember anything about GG? come on!!
Good news.
Seems like the other networks are picking up all the good characters from Stars Hollow. They can all thank Amy Sherman Palladino for putting them on the map!
Aww, it’s so good to see him again!!
…God, i miss my GG!
…I miss my Kirk!
….Sean Gunn will always be Kirk….no metter what new character he plays!
