Selena Gomez recently chatted with WWD about her personal style and turning from a tomboy to a trendsetter!
“When I was younger, I was really into sneakers, white T-shirts and jeans,” Selena revealed. “But about a year-and-a-half ago, I started to love dressing up and finding really cute accessories.”
Selena says that she hasn’t yet splurged on a pair of designer heels, but she’s dying to get her hands on a pair of Christian Louboutins!
When it comes to organizing her closet, Selena reveals, “I like to organize styles from casual to dressy. So I have all my flats and sneakers first, then wedges. The wedges merge into heels and the heels into half boots and then all my tall boots are on the bottom shelf of my closet.”
Her favorite brands are Aldo, BCBG, Betsey Johnson, Chinese Laundry, Converse, Gap, Nine West and Ugg. Among those, her biggest splurge is her BCBG wedges. “They’re black-and-gray leather with little stones around the wedge. I paid almost $300 for them, but they were a gift to myself, so I was excited to buy them.”
Selena says that her personal style is very original. “Whether I wear a necklace [pendant] with a music symbol that symbolizes my love for music, or a ring with a peace sign, it’s very personal.”
