Selena Gomez is joining the Jonas Brothers and other young celebs in her pledge to abstain from sex until she’s married.
Selena says that she asked her father to buy her a “promise ring” so she could make her vow official. “He went to the church and got it (ring) blessed. He actually used me as an example for other kids. I’m going to keep my promise to myself, to my family and to God.”

see thats a great role model and if she keeps her promise she alwayz will be a good rolemodel bacause kids these days are following the wrong people. alot of people are starting to get these rings good on them.
i’m happy for her but she knows she’s doing a publicity stunt even she said THAT SHE DOES EVERYTHING SHE CAN TO IMPRESS THE PARENTS THAT SHE IS A GOOD ROLE MODEL probably she did that to get more people on her side its not the first time

ya jesse you dont have to do “good deeds” to get into God’s kingdom. all u haveto do is beleive he dies and rose again 3 days later to save us from our sins. and if u beleive that with ur whole heart then u jsut have to pray to God ad tell Him and ask Him for His forgivness and you will never lose your spot in Heaven. i have been a christian since i was 5 and find it amazing the things He does in my life. i pray to him all the time and He is my best friend. i love my relationship with God and never want to lose my communication with Him. and if anyone wants that relationship that so many others enjoy with the one and only true God then just ask me or anyone else you know that is a christian and i will be more tha happy to help you.

I think that what Selena is doing is great because even though good deeds don’t get us a spot in heaven alone they show that one truly loves god and is really a christian. I respect Selena and wish her nothing but happiness and success. I think that she is sincere about her faith and wish her the best
You don’t have to get the ring “blessed” at a church. I just went to a purity ball with my dad and signed the purity covenant. All that really matters is that you mean it and keep your promise to God.
