Selena Gomez reveals that she plans on leaving The Wizards of Waverly Place when the season wraps — to go to college and focus on movies.
“I think this’ll be the last series that I do,” Selena told told The New York Post.
“I’m going to try to pull a Natalie Portman” said Selena, who has her sights set on Northwestern University. “Natalie went to Harvard while shooting Star Wars.”
Selena is taking it smart. “I’m going to make that transition slowly. I’m not going to immediately go do something that’s way off the charts, because my goal is to keep my audience and have them grow with me.”

Natalie,and Emma both Got super lucky doing Original hits with sequels. Seems like everybody else is getting remakes, I can’t believe Robert Downey Lost Ironman to Mickey Rourk.
Everybody talks about how college is a don’t miss, but I liked Natalie better before she attended Animal house.
I like you the way you are.

I love Selena! It’s good that she’s thinking of her future, but Wizards of Waverly Place is becoming a franchise. It’s possible that it might go four seasons. I read where the news came from and it said when her contract is up, not when the season ends. Disney might extend her contract. Nothing is for sure in the future.

She said this is the last ’series’ shes going to do , not the last season .

i meen its good role-modling (and for yourself) that your goin to collage but tbf leaving the show will lose you a whole lot of fans unless your the star of the movies your hoping to do. but your kind of throwing it all away just for collage, cant you go to a collage were you can still do wizards

I don’t think Selena will be leaving Wizards anytime soon. She says she loves working for Disney and she loves her show. There will probably be a 4th season, because they did another season of Hannah Montana, and Wizards is definitely better then Hannah. Selena is definitely a better influence then Miley. I don’t think Disney is ready to let her go either, remember wizards if one of the most watched shows on disney. So I don’t think we have to worry to much.
