Smallville episode 7.16: Descent

The remainder of season 7 will air in Spring, beginning with episode 7.16 “Descent”.
According to Ausiello, this is the episode that a long-time character will die, FOR REAL. It is someone (a male) who hasn’t been presumed dead before, and has been a series regular since season 1.
That leaves us with 3 people: Clark Kent, Lex Luthor, Lionel Luthor. Take your pick.

It is! Lex is the one who kills me.

Well obviously Lionel is going to be the one to die in the episode.
Clark is the main character.
Lex is supposed to be the “villain of the story.”
And in the promo it shows Lex pushing his father Lionel out of a window. So obviously it WILL be Lionel.
I just wish it won’t be him, mostly because he had kept Clark’s secret for a long time and you may be able to trust him… But than again you may not be able to trust him after all the crimes he has commited in the past. Killing his parents, Killing the Queens, and also killing Virgil Swann.

I think lex is going to kill lionel luthor because in the preview of the episode lex pushed lionel from a building window and i’ve already seen a picture(http://www.kryptonsite.com/descentgallery5.htm) of lex looking at a body with blood on the building stairs(maybe luthor corp).
Maybe lex killed lionel because he wanted the key of the episode ”Veritas”.
Commom you guys! tou cant´s even possibily think about Clatrk or Lex dying… so that´s only one possible choice: Lionel Luthor! but, to me, that would be pretty bad for the show… We´ll see!

hi guys !! i am watching smallville since the first episode and i think that lex luther will die in this episode. But what means to die i mean lex died in one episode in the 7season and then Chloe heals him so maybe lex will die or clark or lionel but it means nothing / and another reason why i think that nobody really die is that tom welling plays clark kent in the 8 season lionel luther plays in the 8 season too the only two persons who havent singed a contract aer lana and lex so…. and i dont thik that they let lex die maybe he comes back in the 9 season… it also would not be realistic to kill him because there is a new superman movie coming out at the end of this or at the beginning of the next year so we will see

I’m thinking Lionel might die but Chloe ends up saving her with her abilities. Since Chloe can’t sustain her powers she will end up dying. So Lionel dies but comes back alive.
Lionel doesn’t get pushed out the person has shorter hair than Lionel but longer than Clark and it is a man but no facial hair look on KryptonSite.com there is pics of the preview and the silhouette is a man with medium hair and no facial hair.

errrrm guys! It doesn’t make sense because both Lex (in 2 episodes: Rage:with Oliver as green arrow where he was revived with that kryptonite shot to the heart and Fracture where chloe brought him back with her powers) and Clark (jor-el had taken clark’s powers but then ended up bringing him back to life with his powers retored and clark was in the hospital and lana did not yet know his secret) have died before and Lionel has already been presumed dead (when lana had this nutcase hold him captive)

Lex and Clark DO become mortal enemies in the episode, after all.
I believe it is lionel I mean we saw lex push him out the window and obviously it isn’t lex because he is “the villian of the story” he has been since the begging of the story and he will be to the end!!!

hey guys! I think that´s what´s gonna happen… The “person” who dies is the GOOD SIDE OF LEX… but what I really wanna know is: what makes Clark and Lex finally becomes mortal enemies? I mean, what event, fact, etc…? Does anyone have a clue??! if you do, let me know ok?

well lex pushed his dad out the window to steal his necklace (with the key that opens lord knows what) And then lionel dies and then Lex starts to feel bad especially since the key wasn’t in the necklace. And then they learn the news at the daily planet which coincidently happened to be right next door which to me is pretty odd because that fact was never made clear or showed… and of course lionel gave the key to chloe…. and that’s about it oh yeah and jimmy and lois found out from this picture taken from Lex’s office at the daily planet!
Hey pp!! I expected more from this episode but we finally could see that Lionel was indeed protecting Clark all the time, since he became Jor El oracle!!! but what really concerning me at this moment is the warning that Lionel’s message told Clark: something on Earth can control his powers!!! What in hell could that be?? I mean the yellow sun helps him get his powers so what can control it?
Hi! I have one more issue! don’t you think that what Brainiac wants with Kara has something to do with that bracelet she uses?? I mean every episode gives a great “come öut”to that thing so maybe it has something to do with the secret kept by Veritas club and whay Lionel was keeping it in Luthorcorp safety! Any ideas??? let me know ok??
