The directorial debut of Allison Mack for Smallville airs this Thursday, and you’re about to see a raw cut of her work.
Tess Mercer (Cassidy Freeman) is on a vengeance-trip! After what Lex Luthor did to her, she is bent on destroying him and everything that he worked for, including the Prometheus project.
What is the Prometheus project? Our only hint from last week’s episode was it would somehow help Lex Luthor recover. But since Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk) stole the data, it would have seemed the end of Prometheus, and any hope of reviving Lex.
Or is it? The director’s cut shows Lana inside a machine that is keeping her alive. Is it Prometheus? The orders to put Lana inside the machine came from Lex Luthor. But Tess found the lab and was about to destroy the machine (and kill Lana) when Clark Kent (Tom Welling) zoomed in. He was about to stop Tess when Lana Lang woke up with superhuman abilities!
