Clark Kent to the rescue!
The ‘future Superman’ saves Chloe from exploding by cauterizing an implanted explosive/tracking device out under her collar bone. This was an amazing scene. More than once, Chloe has put her life in her best friend’s hand. But in this scene, it actually shows just how much she trusts him.

And as later on when she cries that (as meteor-infected, like the others) “Face it Clark! I’m a walking time-bomb!”
Clark hugs her and replies, “then consider me your personal bomb-squad.”
That’s exactly what true friendship is.
Too bad there’s no Clark-Chloe love in the future. I’m beginning to think they would be great together. What more can a superhero ask than have someone who loves and trusts you completely?
