Tigergal05 led the community to Kryptonsite for more spoilers for Smallville season 8. Here’s the gist:
- Episode 2 is titled “Plastique“
- Bette Sans Souci, the character from the DC Comics universe, will appear as a 15 year-old street kid who is injured in in explosion.
- In the DC universe, Betty Sans Souci is Plastique, an explosives expert
- Chloe, no longer incarcerated (from season 7) takes the teenage Betty in
- It’s Clark’s first day at the Daily Planet, and he teams up with Lois
- Paramedic Davis Bloom (younger Doomsday) will appear in this episode, and he interacts mainly with Chloe
Smallville season 8 returns to CW in September.

I won’t buy the season 8 dvd of “Smallville” if Kristin is not in the series. How can you even call the show “Smallville” if it goes back to boring Lois & Clark of years ago. Come on writers, keep Lana going. You’ll be sorry if you don’t. She’s too important to this series.
That’s right no kristin not buying Dvd for season 8. I have invested so much time and emotions watching Clark and Lana all these years.

Oh please Jane, get over Chloe Sullivan. She didn’t even exist in the comics. Actually I think she was the “Lois Lane of Smallville” but then they decided to bring in the extra character of Lois, who by the way never existed in Superboy’s life back in Smallville. He’ll end up with annoying, kick-butt Lois – what’s new?

I like how the writers have closed the book with lana. Some people need to take a look at what this season is really about. Those where his EARLY years…now its time to closing them and Clark needs to move towards his Destiny rather then dwindle on his past, lana has even closed the book herself. I will say that the Lex issue is more important to the story then lana. Michael=Darth Lex :p
You complete idiots. No other way to describe it. What you don’t realize you idiotic Lois fans, is that Clark is not attracted to her, neither is Lois attracted to Clark. She came in around Season 4 and began a friendship, nothing more. She saw that Clark’s heart really did belong to Lana and therefore stepped back, and even pushed him toward her. Clark and Lois in SMALLVILLE are just FRIENDS who make fun of each other. Other movies and shows that depict their love do not compare to SMALLVILLE. Let us remember people, this is SMALLVILLE – this is supposed to be different. And different means Lana. So Lois fans, get over yourself.
FYI I would hope any REAL fan could look at the reactions that Clark and Lois have throughout the seasons and realize that they get all defensive when it comes to the other person. Also Clark kissing Lois in season 6 a
. Lana and Clark have had too much happen to them throughout the years and with Lana being with Lex shes not the same person. Either way, LANA realized she was holding him back AND was being put in danger (situation with Brainiac), so she broke it off and Clark now heads toward his TRUE destiny and Lois and Cark now start off just like Clark and Lana did…….as friends/co-workers. Go Forward Clark!!

I highly doubt you read anything I said. So, I shall say again. SMALLVILLE is different to all the other Superman movies and shows. Yes the others depict how Lois and Clark came together, but they did this from the beginning of the series. SMALLVILLE is different. LANA and CLARK being together is DIFFERENT. See there how I’m making it in captials so you can understand there. Plus 7 years of Lana and Clark just comes to an end abruptly? I highly doubt it. You can’t just start a relationship in 1 season and deem it true love. 22 episodes compared to 154 or so, ( 7 seasons) is not the correct way to show Lois and Clark coming together. Therefore not only is it logical to have Lana and Clark finish off together it would also be what a majority of fans want. So sorry, you jarred.
What a TRUE fan of Smallville would want is to make sure CLARK’s story is different yes, but also stay within the superman mythology, despite what someone thinks the fans would want to see. Lana was key in the story and they will ALWAYS love each other, but because she truly loved him, she realized she was holding him back from what his purpose on Earth was and decided it was best to end it even though they will ALWAYS love each other. I will agree that Lana was key and was a Major character, but when the actor leaves, you make the story change based on that. Just like Michael leaving, all of a sudden Lex is missing at the beginning of season 8? where is he? At least she left in a believable way. So Lana fan YES I agree it was short lived, but unfortunately they had to make the story change on Kristen leaving. It was her choice!!!!

By your logic, Lana did truly love him, therefore how is Lois incorporated? By your theory that means that Lois doesn’t truly love him otherwise she would have to let him continue on for his greater destiny? It just makes no sense. Lana (Kristin Kruek) is set to come back for 5 episodes mid-way through the season, and apparently she’s returning as a “new woman”. So I guess we’ll see what happens. As for Micheal, there is a possibility he MAY come back, but for now Tess Mercer will be the current “bad guy”. Coodos for the captial letters there.

Also because Lana and Clark were still together Clark concentrated on his relationship with Lana and not his Destiny. Clark is already ON his journey saving the world and Lois is in love with Superman, until she finds out its really Clark. Doesn’t anyone know the mythology? Jeez!!!
It’s like I’m repeating everything I say. SMALLVILLE IS DIFFERENT. SMALLVILLE does NOT follow the exact story of Superman and therefore the mythology is currently used. Sure in comics, movies and other shows Lois and Clark are together BUT the whole point of SMALLVILLE is to create something different and focus on his earlier years. It’s not set in stone that Clark MUST love Lois.
Well I have to agree YES you are repeating yourself. I also feel like im repeating myself. YES its different, we’ve all seen how its different with Lois being introduced in season 4, Zod being introduced, Lex finding out about Clark and Doomsday coming into Season 8. But the writers still MUST stay SOMEWHAT true to the mythology. Its the MYTHOLOGY that is the reason for Smallville in the first place. YES Lana was KEY in his younger life, but that life is all but gone. Like he said, “I’ve been holding on to a life here that hasn’t existed in years.” So now that his eyes are opened, he’s now starting his NEW LIFE in metropolis as a reporter for the Daily Planet…..the way the mythology says he should!

It’s bad enough that they removed the person he had the most chemistry with (also love of his life on this show), now, they’re pushing him & repugnant Lois together? Oh well. Another show bites the dust. Luckily, I’ve got tivo & can skip over the parts where they are getting closer. When they do actually get together, though, that’ll be it for me. By the way, “she will return as a different woman,”–interpretation–”she’ll be some cruel, heartless, vindictive, nasty,or otherwise unlovable character.” That way, there will be more closure. If they wanted ppl to accept Lois at some point, they shouldn’t have made her character so unlikable from the onset. Also, to me, it’s not that Lois is ugly but she is plain & it’s hard for her to follow such a striking beauty (Lana).

Well its obvious that there aren’t any true superman fans in this chat so I will write 1 more time before I leave you guys. No matter what happens in the Smallville series, the WHOLE story is CLARK’S journey, Chole, Pete and Lana were all a big part of his young life growing up and they had plenty of seasons together. Yes they have changed the story of superman for smallville, but people not liking the show just cause Lana leaves? Come on? Let’s not act like a bunch of idiots JUST because someone OTHER then the the MAIN character isn’t part of the story. LANA IS GONE!!!!!! DEAL WITH IT!!!!!!! How many times are Lana and Clark gonna get together and break up get back together and break up, its called beating a Dead Horse people. All his life he only had eyes for lana and couldn’t see that there was someone BETTER in front of his face this whole time,….CHLOE. He may have been in love Lana, but Chloe has ALWAYS loved Clark and he never gave her the chance except near the end of season 1…when Clark and Lana weren’t together. All Lana did was make coffee and look pretty, you’d think she’d do something better with the grades she so called had. Chloe at least had looks, the Torch and Smarts and later a job at the Daily Planet. All Lana did later was marry a billionaire and use money she already had for whatever she needed. Also 1 more thing, Lois may have stumbled when first starting at the Daily Planet, but we’ve all seen what she’ll become. Clark and her are just co-workers for now, she’s helping him to not be a farmboy anymore, she encourages him to make something of himself. But eventually sometime further down the road, they WILL be together. IT’S DESTINY!!

How can Clark and Lois ever work in Smallville? Lois is twice his age. When he was a SOPHOMORE, she was finishing off COLLEGE. They just made her too old to ever be in a relationship with Clark. Smallville is NOT about DESTINY. Smallville is about creating something DIFFERENT. Thus, something DIFFERENT is LANA, something DIFFERENT is choosing to leave OUT DESTINY, and focus on his true love. Okay so I know I said the last entry was the last one, but I just read a whole lot of STUPID from the last opinion. Lois, if you remember was ONLY introduced in the beginning of Clark’s SENIOR year of high school, she was on her FRESHMEN year of college, but the General told her she needed to go back to high school at smallville high, Lex THEN got her into metro university thanks to Clark. YES I AM a Clark fan, this WHOLE story is about CLARK’S life and his journey. You said the way I act is juvenile? I talk and discuss the WHOLE smallville story and all you talk about and are stuck on like Clark WAS, is Lana. Also what are you talking about smallville NOT being bout Destiny? Throughout the whole series so far, ALL you run into is Clark’s destiny following him around. Smallville is different like you and I have both said over and over again, HOWEVER the TRUTH remains that no matter what the writers make the show, they so far have stuck within the Superman mythology. So my hat is off to the writers for making those of us who want to see Clark EMBRACE his TRUE destiny, and that also for those who have see season 8 episode 4 be with Lois Lane. Not little Lana Lang/Luthor!!!!!!!

What’s sad is that you think what you write is important and actually matters. This whole discusion was started around the topic of Lana, why would I start rambling off about his destiny, like you have, when there is a main topic focus? Think about it dumb ass. And yes, I have actually seen all the Smallville episodes, and so far it doesn’t look like the charcters on Smallville of Clark and Lois seem to be interacting they way they should like depicted on other shows and movies. You’re still stuck on the fact that you hop Chloe and Clark will give it a chance, you are therefore no different to the Clana hopers and viewers. Maybe you should revisit the Smallville seasons and take a close look at how the show, for 7 years, has been based on the lives of Clark and Lana. You can’t just bring in Lois at the last second and say at the end of the day that he went home with her. I’m just saying, if season 8 is about Lois and Clark and how in 23 episodes they magically love each other, then the rest of the seasons was just a big waste of time. Also Smallville has stuck by the no flights or tights rule, which are the main 2 facts in Supermans lives. And the producers have still said that they stick to that rule. You talk about destiny, but that is not what the main focus is, you talk about Lois, but that is not what the main focus is, you talk about Chloe, but hey once again that is not what the main focus is. It’s just like you said. His early life BEFORE he came Superman. So maybe, just maybe, they should end it with Lana and Clark and do a spin-off of Clark and Lois. Just saying, if they are documenting his earlier years, that’s probably how it should end.
Well Lana belongs, I’m sorry I haven’t stuck to the “Main Topic” that your referring to about Lana belonging in Smallville and with Clark. But if you remember, Clark and Lana weren’t together at the beginning of the series. It wasn’t until the end of Season 2 that they actually got together and then afterwards Clark broke it off. She then throughout seasons 3 and 4 was with 2 guys other then Clark. It wasn’t till near the end of season 4 and midway through 5 that they where together again. Then immediately after Clark broke it off a 2nd time after being hypnotized, Lex moves in and starts seeing Lana throughout the rest of Season 5 and season 6 till the wedding. It wasn’t till season 7 and all through that till they had an actual relationship(somewhat). I’m not saying she wasn’t a main part of the story, but it doesn’t look to me like they’re 100% meant to be together. They have gone back and forth so much that can they REALLY be together till the end? I will agree that it sends the story in a different direction then I would have suspected, but if Lana comes back for a few episodes, lol I have to say i will be interested to see what they do. See…..I can stick to the “Main Topic”.
Also Lois and Clark don’t MAGICALLY love each other in just 1 season. From the time she is introduced to now, she and Clark don’t really like each other yes, but over the coarse of time they begin to tolerate each other under 1 roof and become friends eventually and start to create a bit more of a relationship. You say Lana and Clark belong and that they’re magically making them together. If you look closely however, over the seasons both Clark and Lois put a wall up to hide how they feel bout each other.

Whoa. Out of perspective much? Clark and Lois put up a wall between them to mask their feelings huh? I think you’re reading into a friendship a little bit too much. You seem to be forgetting that smallville is based on Clarks early life, and yes that does include Lana. See, even though Clark and Lana have been “on and off” it still doesn’t change the facts that they will always love each other. Yeah, Clark and Lana were a complicated couple, but in the end they did come back to each other and I believe, or it should be, that they will once again. You also seem to forget that Lois had serious relationships with Aquaman and Green Arrow (Oliver) and it was revealed in the episode where Oliver had been poisoned that she still has strong feelings for him and is still considering whether breaking things off with him was such a good decision. Even if Clark and Lana don’t get back together, I highly doubt that Clark is going to jump the gun for Lois when she’s in a fragile state. You don’t just have attraction like Clark and Lana’s for seven seasons, and on a whim just decide to cut it off without a legible reason. Lois and Clark in Smallville are friends, nothing more, and the thought of them together, to many “Smallvillers” is just simply disgusting, as from the moment they met, sparks didn’t fly, like with Lana and Clark. IF Clark and Lois do happen, then the producers are going to see some bad ratings. Oh and also check out the reviews for Episode 10 “Bride” – Clark and Lana have a dinner date.

I hope you don’t think I’ve forgotten that this is his early years or should I say WAS his early years, High school is done and over with, he had a few years in between to live his life on the farm for a few seasons, but he’s not a child anymore, Hes Legal to DRINK!!! THAT MEANS HE’S AN ADULT NOW!!!! What you want him to be a kid forever? I also never said that Lois and Clark should end up together like he was with Lana NOW, but he and Lois, even though they wont admit it, have SOME feelings for each other. So I can agree with you on the fact that the writers making the together on the show would defeat the purpose of Smallville, but it shows that they DO have SOME feelings toward each other. Oh and thank you for making me laugh saying that Lois had a serious relationship with Aquaman lol, he was with her in 1 episode.
Also as you have pointed out, Clark and Lana WILL always love each other, no argument there as well as Lois and Oliver will ALWAYS love each other. You can see in both couples how they all didn’t want it to end, but they had too for both Lois and Lana couldn’t share in Oliver and Clark’s Destiny, and YES I said the word Destiny. Finally, if Lana and Clark have a dinner date coming up, I’m looking forward to seeing what happens like I am ALL the episodes of Smallville. lol Balls in your court!!

Well hey, it is possible that she did have strong feelings for him, truth is we’ll never know. But just because he is legally able to drink, does not qualify him as an adult. Many people who just turn 21 are still very childish, and you’ve seen in the episodes that he still talks and feels very much about Lana. SO think about it. If Clark is thinking about Lana NOW, what do you think is going to happen when she comes back into his life? And how is it possible that Lois says to Oliver that she doesn’t want someone with a double life, and yet she goes straight for Clark..? It may be irony, but I just personally think that that was pretty stupid. They may have SOME feelings, but it’s the normal feeling you share with someone who has been your friend, and you just came off a relationship. AKA, Lois would be the rebound girl. You’ve seen how Lois and Clark are still fragile about their relationships, and how they aren’t ready to begin dating, so my opinion, lets just wait and see.
Agreed, at 21 some people do act childish still. Clark may also talk a little bout Lana, but not like its throughout every episode. He’s trying to start his career and I don’t think Lois OR Clark has head straight for the other. Remember, she doesn’t know bout his double life. I also agree that we’ll see what happens next.
