TV Guide scooped several very juicy news about the Smallville season 8 premiere!
- Premiere episode titled “Odyssey” will be all about searching for a missing Clark Kent.
- Green Arrow/Oliver Queen (Justin Hartley) is leading the rescue… and Hartley is a mainstay for 12 episodes.
- The Justice League comes back with Green Arrow, Aquaman (Alan Ritchson), Black Canary (Alaina Huffman), along with the Martian Manhunter (Phil Morris)
- This season’s theme is “double identities” as Clark Kent begins to take on his role as a superman
- The Lois-and-Clark team will be born as Clark takes a desk job at the Daily Planet across the desk from Lois Lane (Erica Durance)
Despite the departure of Smallville creators/executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar, the remaining producers of the show says that they’re staying true to the vision laid out by Miles and Gough. “Luckily [Al and Miles'] voices are still talking to us in our heads as we’re breaking stories,” producer Kelly Souders said. “Their visions come to us all the time, so I think they did a great job of preparing us for this day.”
Smallville season 8 will come back in September on its regular Thursday 8pm schedule at the CW.
(lois is also the one that told him to get the job at the daily planet, which is how he finds people in need, and she is the one that helps him rescue them!!!) which is what lana could have done instead of leaving him.

one thing for sure is that s8 will lose a lot of viewers considering kristin kreuk is the most popular actor on the show(she ranked#19 on top 100 most searched women on internet.and was the only actress on TV who made it to top 20,a little while ago she was named TV`s Most Beautiful by Yahoo).And the chemistry between her and tom is one of the best thing about this show.unlike with that lois lame,kristom just clicked!

i am with Erica, i think a banter is way more exiting and interesting than just being all mushy gushy in love with a person. its not exiting anymore when u already know that they have been in love like their whole lives. i would love to see how they get lois and clark together after everything they have been through. but clark and lana have been through the same realationship, so it was boring for the frist three seasons.

seriously, the only reason we repeat eachother’s comments, bc some of u cant get it through ur thick heads that clana is over. so we r gonna keep saying it, and hopefully u’ll catch on. and it seems like no matter how many times we say it, u guys cant comprehend it. u KEEP ON SAYING that lois and lcark dont have chemistry, they even said ON THE SHOW ITSELF that they absoloutely do. like everyone else keeps trying to tell u guys, if u have ever watched “crimson”, then u will hear jimmy say that the have chemistry. but the actor that plays jimmy didnt write the script, the WRITERS did. so obviously the writers believe that lois and clark have chemistry, or they wouldnt put it on the script. and for those of u who think lois is obnoxious, and big headed, if u also pay attention in the apisode “gone” LANA HERSELF SAID: “the best ones ALWAYS start that way.”. so if u wont believe us, then atleast believe ur favorite character. dont be stupid.

I hope its Lois my self. I wouldn’t want to mess with an everlasting ship. There should be some ships viewers can count on. Odysseus/Penelope Robin/Marian Clark/Lois Tarzan/Jane You get the idea. Plus I like ships my self that are opposite. Mile mannered Clark / Feisty opinionated Lois. I do hope in this the last season of the show they show Clark move on from Lana. I have nothing against Clana. But it was overdone
Lois is the best match for Clark Kent even though Clana is beautiful….I hate the Clana’s looks and actions. She acts and looks too fragile and as if she has a lot of fears….LOIS, UR THE BEST…..Yeah, and Lana is so annoying too. Thank god lana is finally gone… I was hoping she would have been off’d last season… the whole back and forth thing was getting so old… It was time a decision was made to cut ties and send her on her way. Granted Kristen may have a huge following and such.. But lets face it, clark has spent 8 seasons pining for lana. It’s time he moves forward and embraces his destiny. I’m also ready for the whole lex luthor charades to end, theres only so many different scenarios you can use for played out characters. Theres more possibilities for superman that need to be explored

Smallville is about the younger life of superman, so eventually Clark had to say goodbye to Lana and hello to Lois.I’m pleased, that Lana has gone because she was getting on my nerves….Clark is meant to be with Lois…Season 8 will be brilliant

i’m a KK fan, she’s adorable, but to think Lana’s even worthy of ending up with clark shows an evident blindness towards the iconic history of superman and Lois Lane. Lana lang,*As even people who dont know the story can tell you* is a PART of superman’s past. Lois is his future…oh and guess which direction smallville is moving in? oh yeah FORWARDS towards the future. KK must be so embarassed by her fans, she’s v.fond of Erica Durance and Lois Lane, and it must make her sick to know some people out here would tear someone else down because they’re pitying themselves because deep down they know clana has no future.

I think also that Lois according to the legend and the movies that Lois is Clark Kent’s future. I did like Lana and Clark together for a while But she realized that she was holding Clark back from helping the whole world. I still think that even if the writers and producers of the TV show Smalleville if they quit that the actors and actresses if they wanted to could pick up the show and become the producers and writers because they are all talented enough to accomplish that feat. Are they going to have Kara come back also in the future which some people would like and others wouldn’t but I wouldn’t mind Kara Clark’s cousin to come back to the show. I hope theres allot more of Lois and Clark together also and Chloe in season eight.

There is also a woman name Lois Lane who works for the Daily Planet & Clark Kent is in Love with her. But probably In your world I am talking about the wrong Clark Kent.
I agree. Clana(which i was a fan of b4) n Chlark fans gotta realize it’s NOT going to happen. They r not meant to be n watching Smallville, if u knew the Superman mythology, u should’ve known it was bound to end up this way. Lana was Clark’s first love but they have done nothing but break eachother’s hearts time n time again. Chloe is more of a sisterly feel, the best friend. Lois brings out the best of him, always have n always will. This scene is forshawdowing the greatness that is CLOIS!! =)
Erica is tons better than Kristin. Kris’ looks have started to wane over the past few episodes and never looked very “Lana-ish” in the first place. That and the fact that she couldn’t act her way out of an anorexic paper bag. Keep Lois, I like the turbulent relationship she and Clark have. Lana left in the comics, so its overdue she leaves now. They need to show how this Clark would transition to his adult life anyway. Welling is nowhere near teenaged anyway. Let Clark grow up and bridge the Superman mythos before we lose the show. But in a nutshell, Lana bad … Lois good.

No acting skill. Lana mushy sweet, then hurt by bad guy, put into hospital with no scars from the multiple times she has been sliced up or shot. Then mushy again. It was not good use of a character. At least Lois does stupid things and gets into a nice bind. And Erica can actuallly ACT! Something that stick figure Lana never quite mastered (even after doing it for 7 years).
And everyone doesn’t have to know Clark’s secret. Bringing back the “make excuses as to where I am going so she won’t suspect” is always an amusing story element that has been sadly lacking since Chloe and Lana found out.

You all need to grow up. That what they are doing with Smallville. If they keep it like it was with Clark and Lana together. He will never become Superman then their will be no Justice League. I like Lana too yes she was F-in hot. But hey enjoy what she did do her turn is over. My opinion Lana did Clark dirty. One day she would love him the next she would hate him. She married Lex to piss him off come on now. Lana stressed Clark. He cannot be stressed to save the world. I hope this show will keep going so they will turn it into Superman and then the justice league. Of course I also want to see Lex come back as Brainiac and the legion of Doom to form. How bout we talk about how we love the show and watch to see what they do next. Lois and Clark are ment to be. If they change that they might as well quit calling it Smallville and name it something that dont even relate to Superman. Quit bitching and whining and just enjoy the fucking show.

Clana fans- Lana is gorgeous and i loved her but Clark does have to accept his destiny and when he’s always watching over Lana he can’t do that. He’s chosen Lana so many times over listening to Jor-El and so many bad things have happened. I’m not blaming Lana but Clark just can’t accept his destiny with her in his life.
Clois fans- Lois is his destiny. Ha that’s really all i gotta say. I love her!
Let’s just all remember that it is a show. And enjoy it before the show ends. At least we can all agree we love the show.
