Oh NO!!!! Why do they always have to kill someone in Smallville?
Moreover, not just one but TWO pivotal characters will die come final episode of Smallville S08!
Michael Ausiello spoils that a Smallville veteran is going to die – and stay dead – with the finale episode of Smallville season 8. And though the EW Holly-guru won’t say who, clues are all over this article. And this is one death that my stomach can’t accept. I don’t even want to know, but I think I do, knowing all too well the Superman mythology has that person written out of history. In fact, I was watching the Smallville rerun last night of “Legion” and they referred to this person, as maybe whose death will cause Clark to finally take up his shield. I just hope I am so wrong. Ausiello adds another, newer cast member, will die by season’s end too.
And these character deaths mean that we won’t see these actors in Smallville season 9, right?
Which of the Smallville season 8 cast (below) will bite the dust? *Sigh*. Let’s not even vote.

Got to be Chole, maybe Tess. Lana I don’t think so though she is off the show, she doesn’t die in the comic?? I am not 100% on that. Green arrow.. can’t be, Jimmy no, Clark.. humm superman does get killed by doomsday but is brought back to life, am I right? So can’t be him.. Martha I don’t think so cause superman still had his mom didn’t he? Doomsday will have to end up in the phantom zone or something, or they will pull the “death of superman” early, and if doomsday died in the comics along with Superman, then it makes sense.. I will guess a accident with Chloe and doomsday.. doomsday kills her by mistake.

I just read a report where they say chloe doesn’t die and clark and lois are signed on for season 9 so the only ones left is jimmy oliver tess and davis so out of those four it can only be tess and davis and they also say they might just use the guest star as the ones to die which is way of from what they said in the begining

It’s just a speculation from Ausiello of Chloe not dying about Erica Durance and Tom Welling the producers did confirm return with a interview that was done with Watch With Kristin on E!online.

now with smallville they are changing all the rules , especially with the timeline. it should be called metropolis by now , but my guess on the deaths would be CLARK because in the comics clark does come back , so thats a default and the other guess maybe tess , but mike rosenbaum told his mom that he wasnt coming back, and allison mack ,erica, and justin has signed on for season 9 and also jimmy so this leaves , tess , doomsday and the lazarus clark , if they go the comic route.

Here’s what i think would happen: it’s going to be Clark/Superman (the veteran in the show) and Davis Bloome/Doomsday (newcomer) who are going to die. it makes sense. they are going to adopt the superman/doomsday (death of Superman) storyline from the comics years back and retell it in the season finale. And then in season 9 Clark/Superman comes back to life (remember it’s the red sun that gives him the life force and renews his superpowers). As with Davis/Doomsday well he’s going to comeback to life too. only this time he’s been put to prison in the Phantom zone. Meanwhile, Lex returns and together with tess they set out to be the supervillian duo. As with Chloe, well she’s going to still be the watchtower for season 9. but we all know that sooner or later she’s also going to be out of the Superman Mythology one way or another. but then again it’s just my two cents of this whole discussion. let’s just watch the show on Thursday!

Sorry for all you people that want to follow the dc storyline, but it has been confirmed by the producers THAT CLARK WILL NOT DIE IN THE FINALE! Lois is also one that they have said is definitely safe. Allison mack has confirmed that chloe is in season 9. Rumor is that Tess is contracted through season 10. Sam witwer helped increase ratings, so I highly doubt they would get rid of him.

its Jimmy and Davis… dang that was a tough finale, although i did not like the “unfinished” battle of Clark and Doomsday… that was a little too brief for me… but I LOVE SMALLVILLE

Why didn’t chloe just heal jimmy with her powers and davis is still alive he’s just zod now and jimmys little brother is the new jimmy olsen in the future he changes his name to honor his brother and did clark fly with doomsday or did he just jump really really far

Jimmy, yeah I was surprised! Davis didn’t surprise me that much, but what was with Clark ditching Chole like that then vanishing, he didn’t run away.. it was like he just disappeared. And the fight between doomsday and clark- I was expecting it to last longer, unless season 9 brings more..
And no Clark didn’t fly with doomsday it was a super jump…

I think Clark did fly, but when he LEFT doomsday at the bottom of the thermal vent. When asked how he escaped in time to miss the blast, he said he didnt remember, maybe flight was an uncontrolled reaction to save himself? That would be cool, because it would still rule out permanent flight in the show, but give a teaser. Never know though, if Clark cant remember, then nobody will know for sure.
