Sneak Peek of Changeling (video)

Entertainment Tonight has put up a great video sneak peek of Changeling on their site. It includes some clips of both Angelina Jolie and Clint Eastwood giving interviews about the movie, the characters, and what it was like to put the movie together.

Video below the cut:

Honestly, I never get tired of seeing the trailer for this movie. I remember how amazing she was as Mariane Pearl in A Mighty Heart and it feels like we’re going to get the same emotional roller coaster with this role as well. I just can’t wait to see the whole movie!

Two more days until red carpet day!

(Thanks Kisha!)

This interview was during Cannes and was just published now.

The powerful, disturbing “Changeling” is hopeful as well as unnerving, concerned as it is with both the implacability of evil and the power of belief. Made with Eastwood’s trademark assurance and storytelling skill, “Changeling” is in part, the director well knows, “a horror story for adults, not for thrill-seeking kids.” But in almost the same breath he acknowledges what is for him a new focus: “A mother’s love is the whole driving force of the movie.”

Playing the mother is Angelina Jolie, whose skill and seriousness greatly impressed Eastwood.

I have learned a lesson to stay away from some sites that are so negative. One site is “Mail Online”. Under Angie’s pic with Shiloh they have written “A depressed Angie and a smiling Shiloh”. They quote the tabs article about her being depressed etc. Such trash. They are not creditable. There is no proof to the stories. At least one of the comments supported Angie by saying that she just took a long flight with children, two of which are babies and is tired. Just because one is tired does not mean one is depressed. I should be use to this by now, there are those that try to judge Brad and Angie’s expressions to tell a story. One can not judge one’s expression in a picture and make a whole story. There is a poll at the site on whether you will be sad if they broke up. The no’s won. I voted yes. That is definitely not a pro-Angie site.
I just don’t understand why someone would want a family destroyed! Guess that is the world we live in, shameful as it is.
Anyway I’m looking forward to Angie doing some interviews.
Thank you Sherry for this site.

Clint Eastwood was on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart Thursday night. They talked about the movie. Hopefully Angie will visit Jon also later.
Maybe they will be on Larry King, Charlie Rose and Today show as before.

Seems like a very interesting movie. Angie sure is excellent in this film and Clint Eastwood sure brings her best sides to the screen. Hopefully they both get Oscar nominations next year. I can´t wait to see this movie. Unfortunately it will open here in Finland next January so I´ll have to watch older Angie movies – which naturally are all very good – until then.

Watching the trailer brought tear to my eyes. This movie is going to deeply touch the hearts of millions of people out there, especially mothers.

I’m really looking forward to see the movie, but we in Vietnam will have to wait for a couple of months before it arrives here.

“I want my son back” Catchy phrase. The clips bring tears to my eyes. Admire Angie so much as a woman, mom and person.
Off to get ready for work!

Here’s a very brief and powerful EW exclusive clip of the interrogation. (Recognize the psychiatrist?)

This is one of the best scenes in the film, and Jolie is helped along by one of our best character actors, Tony winner Denis O’Hare (he was genius in Michael Clayton), as a menacing doctor at a mental ward where she’s been wrongly placed. Take a look and let me know if you think this is Angelina’s Oscar scene.

Though she’s the proud owner of an Academy Award, Angelina Jolie actually hasn’t been nominated since winning Best Supporting Actress for Girl, Interrupted in 2000. But her forceful performance in this month’s Clint Eastwood drama Changeling could change that. It’s been over four months since I saw the film in Cannes, but watching this exclusive clip given to EW.com by the folks at Universal reminds me of what a fine job she does.

Thanks, Ligaya for this excellent clip. I have no doubt both Clint E. and Angie will be nominated for Oscar awards. An amazing scene!
