A few months ago Pete Wentz said he wanted to name his and Ashlee’s baby something that could work regardless if the kid turned out to be a rock star or a politician.
So what do we think of this name: BRONX?
To be honest, it makes me think of Jennifer Lopez! aka: Jenny from the Block (from the Bronx!)
I think Bronx is a cool rocker name… not so sure of the politician thing. Then again, is a kid of Ashlee and Pete’s REALLY going to wind up a politician?
ANSWER: Not if Papa Joe can help it! haha
One of our loyal readers, Jessica, was first to point out that Bronx’s initials equal: BMW.
This could be a good thing: INSTANT product placement! (And I’m sure Papa Joe would be happy with that.)
All in all, I like the name Bronx. Pete hasn’t talked about why they chose the name, instead saying “We came up with the idea Bronx. We’ve been throwing [ideas] back and forth a while.” ~source
He DID however, elaborate on the middle name of Mowgli.
“The Jungle Book was something that me and Ashlee bonded over. It’s a cool name.”
Jessica: I know! Aren’t you dying to know what Papa Joe comes up with next? He’s actually a pretty good marketer. But you know he’s gonna try and sell those baby pics for as high as he can.
Plus, I’m with you on Mowgli. Not sure about that one.
P.S. So funny you talked about papa Joe! I was thinking the other day that he’s gonna milk the baby pics for all he can, or just do something flat out weird when it comes to making money from baby Bronx.
I agree, I like ‘Bronx’, but I am unsure of Mowgli. I think they could have picked a better middle name. Bronx seems like a rocker kinda name.
