It’s being reported that Matthew Knowles, father of Solange, has been in contact with the E! Network, talking about creating an unscripted reality television show for his daughter. According to the National Enquirer, Beyoncé will not be making appearances on the show, if it is created, because Solange is “done taking a back seat to her big sis and is not going to stand for it any longer.”
Interesting. If this is true, I’m not sure I like the idea. The first thing I always think of when someone decides to have their own reality show, is that they’re desperate and need publicity. Actually I can’t think of a time where someone made a reality show and it actually had a positive effect. In my opinion, the Gotti Family looked ridiculous, the Kardashian girls look like jerks half the time and must I go on about Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson? However, that’s just my opinion. I’m sure some of us see this differently. What do you guys think about it?
I’m with you, L. I don’t think this will go over well. Either it’ll get canned because of lack of viewers, or it may make her look even worse than what people already perceive of her.
IDK how much merit to give this, though. The National Enquirer isn’t very credible and they also reported some BS about Bey and Solo having “tension” between them (and we all know how loving/supportive/close they are with one another).
I think it might work out okay for her. A lot of the reality shows aren’t that great but, they do get publicity and no matter what we think of them we still manage to watch them. I like the Kardashians, I also like Kimora’s Life in the Fab. lane, and I like Run’s House so they are not all bad. It isn’t like she has anything to loose.
