It’s starting to look like MTV Teen Mom stars Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley need a mutual restraining order. The couple were at each other’s throats on the show, and now Amber in the middle of a domestic violence investigation after being filmed being physically abusive to baby daddy Gary.
Since that episode aired, there have been rumors that she tried to kill herself alternating with news that the couple is renewing their commitment to each other and pics of Gary with another woman. What’s happening in today’s Amber/Gary drama? Oh just Amber calling 911, and accusing Gary of locking her out of the house in her underwear. This is not good. Someone needs to make sure these two are kept at a mandatory distance from each other.
This week, police asked MTV producers for “any and all records reference raw television or video media footage regarding the MTV production(s) of Teen Mom which depict all or potentially all physically violent encounters between Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley, in addition to any raw footage of the Reunion Shows in Portwood and Shirley discuss any such violent encounters on the show Teen Mom, either ‘aired’ or ‘unaired.’”
And now, there is audio of a 911 call that Amber made, telling Gary he’s “going to prison for being abusive.”
According to Radar, she said:
“Hi my name is Amber Portwood and I’m at [redacted] and my ex just threw all of my stuff everywhere and cussed me out and ran up on me like he was going to hit me and hit my car. I can’t breathe right now.”
Just yesterday, there were rumors that the couple was getting back together. But they don’t seem to mix well. Here’s more from the 911 call:
“I’m Amber Portwood, there is actually an investigation on me for battery from about six months ago because I’m the Amber Portwood on Teen Mom, but I need someone out here because he pushed me outside in my underwear and I don’t know what’s going on to be honest with you.”
While accusing Gary of being physically violent might seem like a good idea, Amber could simply end up landing them both in jail. For the sake of her daughter, hopefully someone can figure out a way to keep these two apart permanently.
