Imagine my surprise last night when watching The Hills, waiting for the VMAs, I actually knew one of the artists whose music was playing!
Well, by “know” I mean I met them once as they came through town with The Bravery in April.
But Your Vegas is awesome! I love their sound (and their album, of course), and I was excited to hear them on such a great show.
wow…I was suprised to hear Your Vegas on The Hills….their cd is really cool – caught them when they opened for Duran Duran in Spring — they are an awesome band — THANKS for including them on one of the coolest shows on TV!
This episode had some really good music! I loved the Hyper Crush songs! Also, I thought it was really clever that they had a song called Your Vegas for the Vegas scene. That song was pretty decent. I’ll have to check that band out!
I was soo surprised that Your Vegas was used in this episode of “the Hills”. This is one of my fav shows and Your Vegas “ROCKS”!
I googled them and found their MySpace Page with great more music.

The song that you played in the Vegas scene was really great, and how cool that the bad was called Your Vegas. I think this is a band that I should find out more about.
I already listen to Death Cab for Cutie and it was great to hear one of their songs on the show as well!

There were actually quite a few songs in this episode that I really liked. Rihanna has really been growing on me lately and Take a Bow is one of my favs. And as cheesy as it is, I love the BEPs. Fergie has such a strong voice- I wish I had some of her talent.
I also found a few new songs that I really liked as well. I think I’m going to head over to iTunes to check out Your Vegas and Driving by Starlight. Both groups had some great songs on the show. I found some great info about Your Vegas on the web but had a hard time finding information about Driving by Starlight.
ok..so I like so love this show and YIPPEEEEE for having Metro Station == I just LOVE them. Gotta say these folks are way heavy on whoever this Your Vegas band is…..was going to leave some snarky message but decided to watch epi again (if you love The Hills…you gotta DVR it baby!) — and ok…will give you guys some kudos — the song is pretty catchy…I will def check out their page and stuff….rock on.

And you’re right… the music is catchy… Your Vegas kinda grows on you… like a fungus… only a good fungus.
I really think they (they being the people in charge of music on The Hills) do a good job of picking out music that’s not so overwhelming that it overshadows the scene, but works really well with it.
And then it’s just a nice bonus when you either find some new music you like

I liked that Your Vegas song too, I’m going to have to check them out. The Hills is a good source to find new music.
I think it’s so cool that they play songs that fit the scene. like playing your vegas when they’re flying to vegas instead of some old elvis song (not that i have anything against elvis, just saying). It was a fun song!
i also really liked the death cab for cutie song. i’m gonna have to download both of those when i get a chance.

I saw Your Vegas in concert with Duran Duran last spring, it was awesome to see them featured on the show! Loved hearing Death Cab for Cutie as well. This show is worth watching for the great music alone!

Just thought everyone might want an update on Your Vegas. I saw them with Duran Duran back in May…in Las Vegas..what a show! They are back on tour with Duran in December. I flipped it to the Hills & was thrilled to hear YOUR VEGAS by YOUR VEGAS. I seen this band for the first time back in April opening for the Bravery & am now a bigger fan of Your Vegas then the Bravery. This band is amazing. Check them out on myspace to hear more.

Does anyone know the name of a song that plays just as Lauren and Whitney (at People’s Revolution) are talking about the letter that Heidi left for Lauren?
