The soundtrack for Spectacular! is set to release on February 3rd, 2009! The album, released by Columbia Records and Nickelodeon, will feature 10 original songs including digital singles for Everything Can Change and Don’t Tell Me.
Spectacular! itself will premiere on February 16th at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Nickelodeon.
The movie stars Nolan Gerard Funk, Tammin Sursok, and Victoria Justice in a movie where “the worlds of rock ‘n’ roll and show choir collide, resulting in romance, rivalry and show-stopping performance.”

i’m just going to add one thing.
If you hate Spectacular so much then why are you on its website? HUH!
Its like saying i hate pink and then going out and wearing a Hot pink Dress with matching shoes, lipstick and bag.
I think we shouldnt be comparing movies. But the thing is, Theres always going to be movies that are simmilar in alot of ways and others just a little bit. But if we continue to compare moives its just going to take the fun out of watching them. Like if we say that Spectcular is like Hsm but HSM is like grease then its just going to go on and on. Like if we say neighbours and home and away are the same or if we say NCIS and NCIS miami are the same or Greys Anatomy and All Saints, yeah they are pretty simmilar but if we get into the habit of comparing shows with lots in common. Then we are going to start comparing things with nothing in common. Like, McCleods daughters and Farmer wants a wife, they’re both set on a farm with people in it yet theu’re nothing like each other. Or Twilight and Harry potter. They’re both fictional and they have good guys and bad guys but they are NOT the same.
So my point is, just beacause things have simmillaritys doesnt mean they’re the same, Because they have differences as well.
Why does it seem like every musical that comes out nowadays is compared to high school musical?!
Anyways I thought Spectacular! was a really good movie with a lot of fun songs.
i really liked this movie its was well…Spectacular!
the opnly thing i didnt like was that it was kinda fake…like i guess the cameras or the actors or somethin..but im like in love with nolan! haha but if you dont like y opinion well theres nothin i can do about it but just dont trash it on here cause like i said i liked the movie and the songs were really good…and also, its an opinion for cryin out loud!!! im 13 and even my dad (42) liked this movie so id say its for all ages..but i didnt tell dad it was on nick so..shh haha
Listen here… I am not a little kid i am a teenager and i saw the movie and loved the music and the movie but if you dont like it or dont want to see it thats you but you dont have to tell the whole god damn world that, ok buddies. HSM is a great movie i love both the movies and it aint no rip off of HSM its like any other musicial its own meanings!!

Money is Money. Nickelodeon is smart for putting Spectacular in when HSM is exiting. It’s just good money-making. And Tammin Sursok is incredible.

I watched this movie & i thought it was awesome. I think all the actors did a great job & the music is amazing. for all the people who are dissing it, why are you even on a website for Spectacular! if you aren’t going to watch it? its a great movie =]
If you dont like it, i dont know, maybe dont watch it! i love HSM, but i love this too. so lay off. if your not even gonna watch it then keep your mouth shut.
I really liked Spectacular! because it was waaaaaay better than HSM because like what’s said, Spectacular! is more realistic than say meeting someone over break and then having them move to the exact school…oh and also just randomly breaking out in song..I mean I know that that’s what musicals are all about, but if you’re looking for a more realistic musical, watch Spectacular!

i saw it and i liked it better than hsm
its more realistic and its not G rated like hsm was at least the first one. it does seem like nick is copying disney but can you blame them disney is doing very well. but i think spectacular! is good as far as cheesy made for tv musicals go.
plus at least no one was randomly expressing their feelings through and outburst of a song apparently everyone knows.
I love all the musicals. I love disney but they get on my nerves sometimes. why are they making an hsm4 and camp rock 2. camp rock one was perfect, and hsm4 will be just like grease 2. I am glad Nick is doing a musical. I enjoy watching all the musicals. I think it will be a good musical to add to my collection and the songs from hsm and Spectacular are a lot diffrent. I do not see where they are a loike but if you say nick is trying to rip off disney then any of the hsm’s are just like grease. musicals will always be the same but diffrent in so many ways. I love hsm, camp rock, grease, rent, and spectacular. they will be great musicals who will become classic.
I don’t plan on watching it or listening to the music ever, it just happened to be in a commercial. Also, its most definitely not better than HSM, it’s an awful rip-off and that can’t be denied. As said earlier, most of the song names are almost synonyms for the HSM songs, and Nickelodean jsut wanted to jump on the bandwagon of HSM’s success, but I’m sure it won’t work. ;) The only people who will watch it are probably young children who don’t know any better.

i actually think it will be better than HSM!!!! some of these songs in spectacular are awesome and they are about life (for example: i like dont tell me cuz it sometimes applies to me) and i agree with nancy, and besides, HSM was like a rip off version of grease. This looks like a GREAT movie and nick is not trying to rip off disney.
I think it looks BETTER than HSM.
It has better story plots and its more complex.
I mean HSM was two people meet and out of nowhere she moves to the exact school [a little far fetched?]. And it shows the struggle Nikko has in order to do what he wants to do and that is music. In HSM Troy had no interest in music.
I just think this will be a nice refreshment from the repetition of the HSM songs.
i know!! and i mean the songs are even like the HSM ones, its annoying!! i mean, that one that u said and “Everything changes”(something like that!) and Start of something new!! really, are you kidding me? and the name of the guy! where did they get the name, from the Nick mascot? i mean, Nikko from Nickelodeon?!? O_o?
srsly this movie is such a bad HSM rip-off!!!
I know rite? even some of the songs seem to be like HSM like dance with me… HSM can i have this dance? they seem to be the same! Nick just wants to copy disney!
