“Stay Cool” To Premiere at Tribeca

Hilary Duff’s upcoming movie Stay Cool now has a release date! The movie will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, the same festival where War, Inc premiered last year.

This will be the World Premiere for Stay Cool. The festival, which runs April 22 – May 3, has not yet announced the final lineup for premieres. However, we do know that Stay Cool has been entered in the World Narrative Feature Competition along with 11 other films, each telling “tales on life, death and all the various forms of love in between”. The 12 films will compete for cash prizes amounting to $100,000. The 12 films in this section will compete for Best Film, Best New Filmmaker and Best Actor and Actress prizes.

Hilary Duff plays Shasta O’Neil, a sexy high school senior who flirts with a successful visiting author (Mark Polish as Henry McCarthy) in town to give the commencement speech and invites him to prom. The same author must deal with another unrequired high school crush (Winona Ryder as Scarlet Smith). The film is pays homage to the 1980s and has a fantastic soundtrack you can preview.
