The finale of Step It Up & Dance was exciting! There was a huge live audience and the dancers started with a group dance to Fergie’s Labels or Love. Mochi was the diva and definitely was the star of the dance, which was the reason that she was chosen as the winner of the final challenge and will be featured in an upcoming new music video. (But I thought that all three guys were terrific too!)
Then, each of the four finalists did their own choreographed solo dance for the judges and it was electric! Each of them brought their own personality and style to their solo and I’m so glad that I didn’t have to decide. They were all fantastic!
Miguel showed his growth as a dancer and gave us a very strong, creative dance piece that really showcased his talent beautifully.
Mochi highlighted her Asian heritage by doing a piece with Asian overtones wearing a short kimono over a leotard. She was perfection in motion.
I have to say that Nick won me over during the season and his sense of humor and his ability to show his fun-loving personality while dancing was so much fun to watch. I think he was my favorite dancer overall this season, but I loved all four of the finalists!
But it was Cody’s amazing dance technique that stole the judges’ hearts. He was announced as the winner and got the $100,000 grand prize. Congratulations to Cody!!
But as they discussed just before the performances, they will all four have an amazing career. They are all wonderful dancers!

I loved the show….Actually stumbled upon it one evening and was thrilled with the caliber of dance. I watched it through to the end. Cody definitely was the right winner. They were all fabulous but his amazing technique brought his dances to another level. I truly hope it gets another season.
YES Cody was the best by far ! this is not a parsonality show ! its a dance show and ofcourse the dancer with best technigue have to win ! that was CODY ! i am happy for him and i would love to see a second season !
