For the last few months, fans have been wondering the fate of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler. Per a recent report on Rolling Stone’s website, we’ve learned that the singer is entering a rehab facility and has no plans to leave the band.
Tyler is hoping to address his prescription painkiller habit and learn to better manage his pain. He also made a statement saying that he’s not leaving the band, no matter what we’ve heard.
He said, “With the help of my family and team of medical professionals I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio with my bandmates Joe Perry, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford.”
Despite the rumors, Tyler also said that he’s not leaving the band. He added, “I wish to set the record straight and say that I have read reports of a rumored two year hiatus and want to be clear that this is completely false and I will enthusiastically be writing, recording and performing with Aerosmith as soon as things are handled.”
