If you’ve heard the rumblings that Steven Tyler has quit Aerosmith, then you are not alone. It has caused some mass hysteria in these parts, with other band members suggesting that they would go on without him.
Joe Perry and Brad Whitford started this mess by saying that Aerosmith would go on and that they would be auditioning new singers, but Steven isn’t having any of that.
Steven took the stage with Joe at a gig last night in New York to perform “Walk This Way” and he reassured the crowd that he’s there to stay.
He said, “I just want New York to know that I’m not leaving Aerosmith. The break up — it just ain’t true.”
Phew! Thank God for that!
