Are you sick and tired of the press calling Kelly Clarkson fat? Well, so am I, and so is Kelly herself. Here’s what she had to say:
“For seven years it’s been happening. It’s like, ‘OK cool, the fat joke,’” she said during an interview with 2Day FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show in Australia.
Despite the taunts, the American Idol champ says, “I love my body. I’m very much OK with it. I don’t think artists are ever the ones who have the problem with their weight, it is other people.”
Abso – freaking – lutely. I think she’s just right, I’m glad she doesn’t cave into the Hollywood pressure to be sickly thin, aren’t you? She’s talented, she’s happy, she’s healthy – leave her alone!
The people saying she isn’t setting a good example for the kids who look up to her, why isn’t she?
Do you have to be skinny all the time in life? Kelly is overweight sure but that doesn’t mean to say she’s unhealthy. Hollywood is getting ridiculous. To get anywhere in this business you have to be under a hundred pounds.
Thank god for shows like American idol who allow REGULAR people to do what they’re good at. If Kelly went to a record company now, or even then, she would be laughed at before she’d even sung.

She is fat. Should we lie and say she’s not? Being fat is not like being short, or black, or disabled. You have a choice in the matter. For some people it’s harder, but you have to work at it. If you don’t, why shouldn’t people point out how repulsive you look? So what if she is talented? We look at her while she’s singing or on a music video; and people don’t like what they see. Being fat is unhealthy and unsightly. We have an obesity epidemic in this country; Clarkson is a role model and should be setting a better example for young girls. It’s NOT okay to be fat; it costs the healthcare system billions, and you raise the risk of all kinds of disease.

And how dare you JEREMY equate the word ‘fat’ with a racial slur. You are an ignorant fool and have obviously never been addressed by that N word. Being black doesn’t take up two people’s worth of space in a grocery store aisle. You are born gay or black, there is simply no excuse for being fat.
Kelly Clarkson is NOT AVERAGE. It must be difficult to be called on it constantly but you Americans are oblivious to the fact that your idea of ‘average’ is about the average size of a BLIMP.

Her stomach doesn’t look very big though. but her arms and thighs. She could afford to lose some but she isn’t massively obese.
Just leave her alone,she has an amazing voice and why should you critize her for her weight,I bet most of you are not that skinny either

She is fat. Not average unless you live in Ohio…then probably average. Like Fatty McFat fat. She is way over a buck-fifty, even being short. She has a tail like a Buick with what looks to be a troop of immigrants being smuggled in the trunk. And even the smuggled immigrants are chunky.
Can’t we just let people look how they want and accept that instead of calling them “fat” or “stick figured”. People seem to forget how derrogatory those words REALLY ARE! They’re practically on par with f*g and n*gger. Honestly people shouldn’t need to change how they look to fit into our ridiculous definitions of what attractive is! As long as they are healthy they are beautiful. So LEAVE HER THE HELL ALONE!
I think she gorgeous and has a great voice. One thing’s for sure that’s a big issue today is that no matter how talented you are, it all comes down to looks… and I find that very upsetting. Do you honestly think some skanky ass bag of bones like Paris Hilton deserves more limelight than Kelly? I don’t thinks so, but again, it all comes down to looks…
Kelly Clarkson is not fat. Come on guys, who do you think you are. Kelly is AVERAGE. I would rather someone be overweight and especially confident in themselves than to be severely underweight and under confident. Now, either shut the hell up or take your fat asses and go punch yourselves in the faces. or just go home and masterbate if you want entertainment and stop dissing poor Kelly!
Leave her alone. 150 pounds is barely overweight. And who says that a celeb should watch his/her weight more than a non-celeb. We are all people and should treat each other better. No wonder other countries insult the US. We suck as a nation. No one cares about no one here.
She isn’t a lesbian, either. We all have curiosities, and who has the right to tell her how she thinks? WTF!? People in America suck because they are always making fun of the small things in hollywood or LA or other places where celebs are. But what about them…I’m sure a 400 pound woman might come on and say Clarkson is fat only because of 1) It’s hip…everyone else is doing it and they don’t want to be left out, 2) They are heartless sons of bitches, and/or 3) They just don’t like celebs and are jealous and just want to destroy their lives and make them depressed. No one cares anymore. Life is short…so just make the best of it. Deal with your problems…don’t interfere in someone else’s…it could come back to bite you in the ass…HARD!

Wow, she is huge! Yeah, it’s good to not be stick-thin, but, wow. This can be just as unhealthy.
Let the girl eat, for God’s sake. She looks great, seems like an absolute doll, should she really need to starve herself? She’s a singer, a little extra padding doesn’t make her voice any less fabulous.
