Hilary Duff’s aired performance of ‘Stranger’ on TeeNick (video here) was not live.
Some very attentive watchers noted a discrepancy in the video. The background singer first has her hair down. Then up. Then down. Then up. All in a continuous sequence. So, this means that the performance was filmed at least twice and then edited for air.
How do you feel about this?

Well.. I don’t know what’s the problem about it.. It’s ridiculous who thinks all her perfomances have to be live.. nobody does it all the time.. give her a break

the first time i saw this i knew that this is not live, and?? i don’t care about that! hilary is amazing, and i know she can sing live, but she dont have to sing live all the time!!
I loved this performance…live or not. It doesn’t matter to me, as long as she performs live at her concerts then she can do whatever she wants.
she is lyp sinchying too but anything tha coms from Hilary I apreciate, any away it wasn´t in a big concert or show give her a break !!!!
if u look at the video really closely, u will see her dancers go off the stage for a few second, so they probobly put their hair up then! but people can’t expect hilary 2 do a live show everytimes, she would die!!(not really)
OMG!! everyone! this is MAJOR news. YOu have to tell everyone you k now to get the new album from Hilary! She went down 8 spots this week! she only sold 40,000 copies last week. That isnt good!! Come on people! if you can adevertise her album on your myspace page or something! Support her!

Sorry I just think i see things sometimes. I support Hilary and everything but if you’re a singer, this is your profession and you get paid big bucks to sing for an audience then don’t pretend you are when you’re actually not [im referring to the audience she sang for] I hate that. [That's just my opinion] None of us in the average person’s working world gets to fake what they do at their job so I don’t think celebrities should get a free pass, especially those that say singing is their job and their talent.
Having said that I still respect Hilary, mainly because she appears to be the most sane one out of the lot and thus proves herself to be a great role model.
I hope she doesn’t do this kind of thing often. But then again people so what they want so…

As long as she singes live on a concert( a big concert I mean) it don’t matter me. But it’s just more fun when you’re at her concert and she’s singing live i think.

hoo cares maybe they had to do it coz of sound – the audience could have been to loud in a rehersal so they filmed it so they could do summin to the sound or maybe she would be out of breath after singing
They never said they were going to sing live. They just said a preformance. And so what if she doesn’t do it live all the time. And I heard somewhere (don’t remember, now it’s bugging me) that all her fans were complaining that for like Jimmy Kimmel and everything that she was lipsyncing. And if anyone here thinks that let me say right now that every preformance she does is a little off-key (due maybe to acoustics, etc. It’s not her fault) and on Jimmy Kimmel during Stranger at the end, her voice broke a bit. So maybe it’s possible she’s just REALLY good live? I hate people like this. God, celebs ARE human!
Also, did you notice the necklace? In the second pic, she’s wearing two necklaces.
live performances are alot better at her concert tours she sings live but i guess thats just the way they wanted to do it.
