This Spring, KEDS GOES GREEN!
Keds is launching their first ever sustainable line of footwear! Every part of this shoe is environmentally friendly and uber-cool – 100% organic cotton, recycled rubber in the outsoles, and colors made from non-toxic natural dyes. Even the eyelets and shoelaces (and the box) are earth-friendly. How’s that for cool?
Keds did not stop with the shoes, though. Through its partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, one tree will be planted for every pair of Keds Green Label shoes sold. Now that’s what we call pro-active.
And for something really cool – KEDS is giving away 2 pairs of Keds Green Label shoes to Superhero Profiles readers!

Two very happy readers will each receive a pair of Keds Green Label shoes. It’s easy to join, but you need to answer this question in the comment as an entry – “What’s your favorite part about the Keds Green Label and why?”
- One entry per person per day.
- It’s open to residents of the US only.
- Contest ends 11:59 midnight EST on April 5, 2008 (Sunday).
- Two winners will be randomly chosen and announced via blog and email the week after.
- If a winner does not reply within 3 days, he/she forfeits her winnings and an alternate entry will be chosen.
- REMINDER #1 : In previous contests, I have had several winners forfeited for failure to reply to my notification of the winners via email. I loved my Keds as a kid, and am so glad now that they are made of organic and recycled materials.
I love that they use recycled rubber because it reduces waste!
My favorite part is that the shoebox and tissue are made of recycled materials because it means less garbage in landfills.
