The CW announced yesterday that it will be renewing several series that have Gilmore Girls stars! They announced the pickup of 6 series: Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, 90210, America’s Next Top Model, Smallville, and Supernatural.

For those curious, that means that Jared Padalekci (Dean Forester on Gilmore Girls) will get Supernatural Season 5, that Chad Michael Murray (Tristan Dugray on Gilmore Girls) will get One Tree Hill Season 7, and that Rob Estes (Jimmy on Gilmore Girls) will get 90210 Season 2. 90210 also boasts Gilmore Girls writer Rebecca Kirshner and Gilmore Girls producer Gayle Abrams.
Dawn Ostroff, President, Entertainment, The CW, says that these six shows have “clearly contributed to strengthening our schedule and our brand identity” particularly as it’s related to being a destination for young women.

It doesn’t surprise me. When you see GG on DVD, the passion is not the same, but you can see the respective qualities of the actors. It’s good for them.
