Jared Padalecki will return for Season 4 of Supernatural. As fans of the show will know, Season 3 ended with a big cliffhanger: Dean Winchester went to hell. That had many people asking if Jensen Ackles would be back for Season 4 – well, he will be.
With filming set to start in early July, there are more questions than answers for us all. Eric Kripke told TVGuide that he had to send Dean to hell, in part because everyone expected him to be safe. What happens to Dean in hell (he’ll be there a while) and how he get out are huge themes for Season 4. When he does get out, a lot will have changed, including his relationship with Sam (Jared Padalecki). As Dean struggles to recollect his time in hell, he also has to struggle to reconnect with his life.
The writers are excited about the season and all the plot twists in store – such as, will Sam keep his promise and not try to test some of his demon-fighting powers?
Supernatural – The Complete Third Season DVD will be released on September 2nd, and can be pre-ordered now.

I hope they know what they’re doing. For a lot of fans, the relationship between the brothers is the touchstone — fans will follow the producers anywhere they want to lead, including, as we’ve seen, into hell itself, as long as there’s always that Sam/Dean fraternal bond. Take that away, or drastically alter it, and there may be hell (did I say that?) to pay with the fan base.

Its good that Dean after being killed in Season 3 was able to be back for season 4 although he had to be in hell for quite sometime…
Honestly.. if Dean wasn’t back for season 4 i wouldn’t be watching the season cos there was no meaning in watching it if Dean wasn’t there it would be quite bored to only see Sam with hes powers and other demons…
Anyway… i’m really looking forward to the new season… hope to see it very soon… i hope that the story about Dean in hell and also trying to get back would be extremely exciting!!!

I think a good plot twist would be if Dean had done a deal with the ‘yellow eyes’ demon to get out of hell. and now Dean has gone Evil because he’s gone insane because of being in hell for such a long time.

I seriously hope Dean can fix things back with Sam when he gets out of hell. Something tells me Season 4 is gonna be excellent! I just hope that Season 4 isn’t the last of the series!

Can’t wait for the season 4… :) I heard the gossip that in the next season, Dean will return from hell as something “different” (somewhat more evil), is it true? Well…. He’ll look cuter then :). And after all, Dean looks more handsome when he’s being a bad boy.

Hey!! Cannot wait until next week so i can see another episode of SEASON 4!!! I love your twist Eric you’re a genius. Make sure the brothers stay close it is better when they are!!! =] I love that Sammy is taking control of his powers it is awsome! How many seasons are they planning on doing?
