I absolutely love this picture of Suri Cruise! She looks so bored to be out shopping and it reminds me that she is just a normal kid. I get this same look for my kiddos when we’re shopping for something boring like underwear, socks or something for me!
Katie Holmes took Suri on a little shopping excursion in Rio de Janiero today (February 3). It took a trip to the ice cream counter to cheer little Suri up. Hey, that certainly works for me!

I think it would have been a lot more fun for Suri if Katie actually let her play on the beach with a pail and shovel or if that’s too public (not that Katie seems to mind public
) she could have taken her to the hotel pool and let her splash around. They could have shopped at home!
Just my opinion guys. My kids would have had a FIT if I dragged them shopping when they could be playing on the beach. The look on Suri’s face seems to be saying “MOOOOOOM….get me outta here!!” LOL

Suri has grown taller a bit now. She is not a baby /infant anymore. Please stop calling her baby Suri. She is a now a little girl, a beautiful little girl. Suri looks good in any cloths and any colour. I wonder why Tom & Katie don’t let her do modelling. I am sure she will be great.

It seems like Suri has been able to spend plenty of time at the beach. You wouldn’t want to keep her outside too long with that fair skin. Besides, they can’t go to the beach or anywhere without being bombarded by fans and photographers.
Like many of you said, funny picture and like Starkist said, it shows us that celebrities go through the same things we do!
There are some hot looking pictures of Tom Cruise with his shirt off by the pool (Katie is there too). I saw them in the back office of the picture agency I use, but they are “exclusive”, so I can’t post them. I am looking everywhere for them and will post the link as soon as I find the pics!
I saw this picture on a different website first and thought it was great. I love it when little girls get all attitude-y. lol And that look is sure full of attitude. It is like she is saying “I can’t even believe we are doing this.”
It could be that Suri is more upset that they are being followed by fans/paps…again!
I never know whether to be excited or upset for this little girl. Her parents absolutely adore her and seem to spend a lot of time with her. But unlinke other celebs they appear to be showing their private life off a bit.
It’s not my place to judge but sometimes I think it is extremely unfair for those children and there should be laws against taking hundreds of pictures of them…

My kids are very fair also, Julie. I just put 50SPF sunblock on them!
I don’t know about always being bombarded by fans and photographers. We don’t see Katie and Tom during every “vacation” they take. This was a promotional tour which is why they were being followed. I’m sure they could have found a nice, quiet place out of the limelight if they wanted. Everyone else does!

Of course they could vacation privately, if Tom wanted to that is. Charlotte Rose is right – this was done for the publicity. I get that Katie has probably never seen Rio, but she doesn’t look thrilled so I’m pretty sure there was a better way.

I think Katie looks great in shorts and sandals or shorts and boots, love her look, but not the cardigan, spoils it.
I really like the whole look here. I like the cardigan with the shorts; its a very clean and classy look. I adore those sandals. Anyone know who makes the sandal that Katie is wearing? Not that I could afford to go out and buy $600.00 sandals…I usually get the bernardo’s more in my budget!
Will suri ever in her life find something to smile about??? she appears to be a very very unhappy child, she has no interaction with children, only adults who feel the world evolves around her and only her. This child need to play and share with children of her own age. Let her be a child!!!!
Barty,even if we see Suri every day its for such a short time , how do we know what she does the rest of the time, if you are a parent then your world does evolve around your child or children, we all try to give our children everything we can , so obviously the more you have the more you give, there is nothing wrong with that, she actually comes across as a very good little girl except for her dislike of the paps. I saw a picture of Suri digging in the sand with those children on the beach in Rio and interacting , but it wasn’t published everywhere like some of the others were , I don’t know why, it was from US mag website.
