Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise made a visit to the set of Tom Cruise’s movie “Wichita” on October 2nd. Suri was visibly upset and both mom and dad were trying to console her.
I’m not sure what she was upset about and it doesn’t really matter, but it looks like Tom and Katie were doing a good job of taking care of her. I am sure the media has already blown these pictures out of proportion, as they always do.
On a side note: Yes, I do see that Suri is wearing shoes with heels again, but I please ask that you not let the comments get out of control like the last time. Thanks!

Poor baby! Maybe she was bored or tired. It doesn’t seem as if she has much of schedule. Perhaps she didn’t get enough sleep the night before.
i think is so sweet of both of them to console a child, things like a celeb mom and dad consoling their children goes unnoticed in hollywood. Makes them seem more real

Suri may have just woken up, maybe she went to sleep in her dads trailer,we don’t know. Really I don’t know how they can stand all the things written about them and little Suri, I’d go crazy
Nasty crazy things were said even before she was born, not to mention after her birth, There was almost a obsessive frenzy for her to be shown when she was born, somehow it seems it was a kind of omen for things to come and what goes on now. Some things said are just so wrong.
she may have been crying b/c she was scared watching her dad do that fast car scene…..she probably thought he was in some sort of danger….maybe thats why KH was pointing and maybe saying something like “its ok…look at daddy…its just pretend”…who knows but thats my silly theory!!

Yes, but who’s fault was that annie? IMHO it was Tom and Katie’s. Katie was pictured everywhere very pregnant and a big deal was made out of Suri’s birth, with Tom telling all kinds of stories during the promo for MI 3, that I really can’t blame the media and others for just following along with the attention Tom seemed to want about her birth. Then they shut everything down and held off pictures for months. Personally, I think Tom especially, liked and wanted the attention – although I’m sure he didn’t count on the negativity. Otherwise he would have put out one little picture right after Suri’s birth, and moved on. Holding off created a frenzy and I really think Tom enjoys that. He’s the consumate showman. Instead, they made a federal case out of it by doing a spread in Vanity Fair. I don’t support that from any celebrity including Tom and Katie. You can’t complain about attention when you’ve been seeking it. Just my opinion….
Just have to say that the high heels, security blanket and Suri crying made me LOL, and not in a bad way. It’s too cute! There she is with her high heels like Mom, but yet she’s still very much a little baby. Reminds me of when my kids were small! The dicotomy cracked me up!
I just want to say that the high heels thing is no big deal….I mean…the problem with Internet photos is that people assume too much. It’s one thing to force your child to wear high heels. But MOST little girls LIKE to play dress up. They even sell those little plastic high heels at toy stores for this reason. So, big deal…they let Suri wear them here and there…what little girl doesn’t want to do this. The ONLY difference is that Suri just gets photographed all the time…so people blow it out of proportion. That, and her family is often out and about… I think it’s neat they let her chooser her outfits and let her be an individual even in the midst of their busy lives shooting films, etc. The child is always seen with either parent…not a nanny. She is very loved. It is so obvious. I think this family really does an awesome job of balancing work/life/family and making a point to be together. Totally commendable.
The issue for me, mere is not that there’s anything wrong with playing dress up. That’s great. My daughter did it as well. The issue for me was Suri being allowed to wear the shoes outside the house. I find that dangerous. A child should not be wearing something like that based on the development of their muscles and bones. Of course little girls WANT to do this stuff!! Kids want to do all kinds of things. It’s the parent’s job to make sure they don’t!! My oldest son was a climber even when he was younger than Suri. If I let him, he would have climbed the biggest tree in our yard. Did I let him? Of course not! Suri is a perfectly normal (and adorable) child. I just happen to think her parents need to exert more control and do more for her safety and well being. That’s just my opinion. We’re all entitled to have them!!
I think part of the reason he told stories was because one of the many stories going around was that it was a fake pregnancy. Plus Tom was so happy about the whole thing. After she had Suri I love they took time to themselves
and waited bfore showing Suri to the world. I have and do blame the paps and gossip rags for the claims they make about any of the Cruises. You do not have do really do anything for them to do that they just make it up. I also blame the readers for spreading and believeing it. A little of the blame would go to the celebs if I believed they should not just live their life but I do not. They have the right to do what they want just like me.

I think they seem to be doing an awesome job too. I whish it didn’t have to commendable but I think it does in this circumstance.
One thing I like is they do not have a stroller when they are walking so when she gets tired or scared they carry her. This seems really important in building the feeling of trust and autonomy. To know she is free to explore but they are there if she needs them.
I love Toms action pics. Who is driving? Has anyone seen pics of Marc Blucas or Paul Dano from this movie yet.
CR, in the Vanity Fair spread, Katie said , because of all the hurtful things that were written she didn’t want to open the doors of her home to the media. I don’t blame them, really sometimes the media must make them very angry.
Poor Suri, she’s still just a little girl. Kids that age get upset over anything and everything and sometimes you can’t even predict it. I’m sure she cheered up quickly.
That picture where Tom’s about to jump out of the car (I think?) is hilarious, the look on his face is really funny. I’m so interested in this movie, I love that he does many of his own stunts.
I find it strange that she is carried around in a blanket at her age, like an infant. Plus the stories about baby bottles, diapers and such. I think Katie is a good mom, but enough of the baby-ing already. ( and I’m NOT talking about comforting when upset!) Maybe it’s because it’s her first child, and she doesn’t really know what to do? I know I did things much differently once I had more than 1 child. She ( Katie) gives her way too much say in decision making for such a small chold. Children NEED adults to make rules and boundaries in order to feel secure. I think this may be a problem, one minute drinking from baby bottles, next high heels and calling the shots.
