Survivor: Fiji - Another Horseman Falls

Alex

The show began on night 30. Alex was relieved that he had managed to last one more time at tribal counsel. (Thanks to him voting for his ally, Mookie.)

Earl was upset that the split vote had been against his better judgment. He was hoping Alex would go first since he thought that Alex was more of a threat, but it didn’t happen that way.

Then Stacy went to Alex and told him that she didn’t want some kind of rift between the two of them. (WTF?) All the others were worried about her talking to him and wanted to break up the conversation. Now things were getting pretty paranoid around the camp fire.

Alex decided that he would have to lay low and play with a smile, velvet gloves and a dagger in his pocket. (Yeah, good luck with that…)

Alex was lying around listening to the others talk and overheard Earl and Cassandra talking. Earl told her that he liked Boo, but didn’t trust him. He said that he trusted Yau and her 100%. Then he said that he wanted the final four to be Yau, Earl, Cassandra and Dreamz. He said that the key to going far in the game was being honest.

(So what about Dreamz betraying his first alliance? Has he forgotten that part?)

Yau said that he was only worried about Dreamz because he knew that Cassandra would keep him before she would keep Yau man. He was being honest too. The four of them decided to call themselves the “Core Four”. (I hope naming the alliance isn’t the kiss of death this time like it was for the Horsemen. I really hope to see Earl and Yau Man go to the very end.)

Cassandra and Yau talked about it and she made him feel better about his place with her. They all agreed that the next two to be voted off were Alex, then Boo.

When they all showed up for the reward challenge, Jeff asked how they were all doing. They responded by telling him that they were tired and hungry. He told them that hungry would be good for the challenge. (Actually, that’s never a good statement; it usually means eating gross things…)

But the challenge was to rip pieces of pork from a swing hunk of meat and drop them in a plate. After 5 minutes, the person with the most meat in the plate would win.

The winner and first two runners up would be picked up by helicopter and flown to a beautiful place in Fiji to river raft the rain forest. Then they would have a nice lunch and return to camp. (Thank goodness, there’s lunch, these folks are starving!)

Also, the winner of the challenge would send one person to Exile Island and would receive an advantage in the next immunity challenge.

It was pretty grisly, but Boo won the challenge and Yau Man was second and Dreamz was third. Boo decided to send Earl to Exile Island. Jeff handed Boo a bag of something and told him that it was his advantage at the next challenge.

The guys all said they had a wonderful time and it was like floating around in a postcard. The all loved the rafting.

I have to admit, I think anyone would have to enjoy it too. Just look at the scenery!

On Exile Island, Earl was happy to get the second clue to the immunity idol. He felt that it was clear enough that he could probably find it.

Of course, when Boo, Yau and Dreamz got to the lunch, it was a feast and they ate a ton of food and then relaxed. A river guide came and gave each of them an envelope with letters from their families.

Apparently, Boo was getting annoying to everyone because he talked constantly and just wouldn’t stop. Dreamz started talking about making plans with Alex and wanting Boo to go. (The man just can’t make up his mind who he’s with…)

At the immunity challenge, Jeff had Boo bring out his bag of advantage. They were climbing steps so he would get to skip the first part of the challenge and move on to the final three.

Dreamz and Alex joined Boo in the final round. After a grueling climb to the top of their post to grab a flag, the winner was Boo again. That means that Alex was the sure-fire person to go home at tribal counsel.

That afternoon, everyone was in agreement that Alex was the person to vote for at tribal counsel. Alex was still trying to lay low and try to get some respect for the vote. He talked to Cassandra first, then to Earl and Dreamz about trying to vote Yau Man out.

Earl thought that no one took him seriously. But Cassandra and Dreamz talked to Stacy and they were all thinking about voting out Yau Man.

This should be interesting. At tribal counsel, the possibility of Alex swinging three people’s votes was discussed. Yau Man was not expecting to be voted off at all.

The votes were cast and Alex was the one to be voted off. Now the gloves will com off. It’s down to the time in the game when all bets seem to be off. People begin to play for themselves more than ever and alliances tend to break down. This will be interesting.

Were you happy to see Alex voted off? Did you expect Yau Man to be voted off? What are your thoughts about the game now? Leave a comment to share your thoughts!
