Susan Sarandon Dodges Tim Robbins Question on The View - Then Announces Breakup Hours Later

“Who gives better gifts, you or Tim?”

Seems like a simple enough question, but Susan Sarandon seemed to dance around it while appearing on The View today.

“Oh, everyone gives good gifts in our family,” the actress said, while a huge picture of her and Tim Robbins was displayed on a screen.

Turns out there was a good reason Susan didn’t answer the question directly. She and actor Tim Robbins, her partner of 23 years, called it quits over the summer. Susan’s rep put out a statement announcing the split just hours later.

Hmm. I wonder if the question on The View influenced Susan’s decision to make the announcement today. It must be annoying to be asked about a person you are no longer with.  Too bad the ladies of  The View didn’t get the scoop first!
