Tabloids "thorn" in Patrick Swayze's side

Mega star Patrick Swayze, lead of A&E’s new series The Beast set to debut January 15, has a message for the tabloids: Don’t lie about his health condition!

Swayze, who is fighting pancreatic cancer, told PEOPLE magazine:

"The only thorn in my side being that many tabloids have been consistently reporting lies and false information about me and those close to me. And latest, they’re reporting that I’m on my last legs and saying goodbye to my tearful family!"

Understandably, it has to be hard being in the public eye with such a devastating disease — and then to have to deal with family and friends seeing tabloids reporting false information about his health condition. Cancer is such a horrible disease that touches so many families.

Swayze just wrapped up filming on his new TV show where he stars as an unorthodox FBI veteran who works alongside a rookie partner played by Travis Fimmel.
