There’s a cool new series on MTV called Taking the Stage. It takes place at Cincinnati’s School for Creative and Performing Arts and features 5 main characters, 4 of which are dancers and 1 who is a singer/songwriter. I thought it might be something you’ll want to watch and enjoy too.

This is Tyler, the new kid in school. He shakes things up the minute he enters the school. He’s an outstanding hip-hop dancer, but he’s got something to prove to the other kids, most of whom have grown up there. He knows he needs to focus on developing his talent into marketable professional assets if he wants to make it, but he also needs to work hard to maintain his role model status in the eyes of his little brother Chris.
To get you up to speed with the first episode of the season, MTV gives us this short video recap. It’s a little cheesy, but it will give you an idea of what’s happened in the first episode of the show.
And here’s a sneak peek at tomorrow’s episode that shows the growing relationship between Tyler and Jasmine, the ballet dancer as they practice for the Homecoming Dance-off:
