Taylor Hicks is moving on up – in terms of real estate, that is. Taylor is a southern boy at heart (he is, afterall, from Alabama) so it should come as no surprise that Redstone Properties have announced that he will be buying a lot at The Oaks, on Guntersville Lake in Scottsboro.
Michael Douglas (no, not that Michael Douglas), an attorney for Hicks, said he “has enjoyed tremendous bass fishing” on the lake for years “and he even played at The Docks on Goosepond Island back before American Idol, when he was still playing at local clubs.”
Even Stephen Patch, the president of the Alabame Shoreline, a subsidiary of Redstone Properties, piped up about the deal saying “We are excited to have Mr. Hicks as an owner in our development.”
